I'm a new author publishing my books for others for the first time. Since I'm new to this I just have a few questions.
1: I think my book is moving to fast and I want to slow it down a bit, how do I do this but still keep readers entertained?
2: I get writers block frequently and it makes keeping to my book difficult, any tips on how to make it easier?

1 - You are the one who determines the pace with which your book moves. You can also sometimes make the book high intensity, but other times take a short breathing room. The readers will understand the alternating between the pace, depending on the plot, and it will also bring more to the story - this is purely my opinion.

2 - Writer's block is a pain. I used to suffer from it as well, but forced myself to write when it struck. Now I have changed my writing schedule and write more than one series. When one series starts to give me a writer's block, I simply switch to another novel, and feel my motivation soar again. I am not sure if it is useful for you, but it really works wonders for me.

Outline and premise. I have block from time to time that's due to overwork. I'm able to pick up where I left off with an outline and short premise summary when rereading.

Pace is purely on you. The more you write the easier it is for you to feel if the story is fast or slow.

1 don’t do unessesary sidequests or filler as you might also call it. It is just a sloughs to read through.
You can take mor time talking about the world an little details, or build caracters through character interactions. Or focus a bit on one of your side characters
