synopsis:
WFP #11:Bronze Tier
Ashley is just a normal college girl living her life to the fullest. She's got a loving boyfriend, a family who supported her in everything, and friends who were always there with her. She was even the most popular girl in school. In short, she couldn't ask for more.
That was until…
One night, on her way home from her friend's party, she was caught in a car accident. She became comatose and was later in a vegetative state. She was in that condition for three years.
Her friends who she thought were her pillars of support left her. Her boyfriend left her for her friend. What hurt her the most was that her family was breaking apart primarily because of her. She lost everything overnight.
Everyone already anticipated her death and believed that she wouldn't recover. Why wouldn't they? The doctors said she was almost brain-dead. That was what they thought...
Ashley knew everything. She was aware of the things that happened around her. She was just trapped inside her own body.
After three years of enduring, she finally found a lee-way to all of this. A silver streak that made her hope that everything would be fixed and she could go back to her once-perfect life.
Instead, she is sent to another world. Only to come out of a box and serve as a prize for an annual tournament. More confusing was the fact that this world seemed to be a fantasy world were vampires, werewolves and other creatures dwelled.
It was a world where humans never existed.
Contrary to her expectations, she is treated quite alright by these people she considered as monsters. They dressed her and even made her as one of their people. Everything she knew about them through books and movies wasn't true. She even forgot that she differed from these people. They were like humans…
That ended when secrets were revealed. Enemies who lurked in the dark came to light. Deception spiralled... and her blood.
The discovery of her blood which might be the reason for her possible downfall.
But good thing she had a saviour. The Emperor, who held great power, always came to her call. He greatly favoured her. He was amused at everything she did. Though there were times when he unintentionally slapped the word "stupid" unto her face, he still came to her rescue and fought the urge of drinking her blood. He became her shield.
And possibly her love?
---------(Excerpt)--------
"WAAAAAHH!"
She screamed to the top of her lungs, her nostrils flaring up in both fear and resentment. He chuckled. Her scared face thoroughly amused him.
"Trust me.." he said. "I'll catch you."
She looked at him with disbelief.
"Y-You! Idiot!" she shouted at him. This crazy man. How can he say something like this when they were both falling to their deaths?!
It was his fault!
'Huhuhuhu. I don't want to die.'
She tried so hard to survive only to be put to death by this—this douche! She takes back what she said. He's a total douchebag. She'll never forgive him.
'I'll never trust handsome men again.' She promised herself. She really hated this man to the bones. He is a certified jerk!
Ashley opened her eyes again when she heard something. There was a 'Szizzt' sound. Like the sound of charging electricity.
She quickly turned her head towards him, only to find him gone. Yeah right. She forgot. He was a vampire. Maybe he turned into a bat and flew away.
He really is a jerk. He just left her here falling into her demise. She knew she was already near the ground. She couldn't help but beg for her life.
"Please! Someone save me! "
She suddenly froze when she felt strong arms envelope her body. She turned her head to look at the person who caught her. She was left speechless.
It was him.
Her mouth was left agape. They already stopped falling. He stared back at her face that was filled with dread.
"I told you I'd catch you.." he said softly in her ears.
Why this—!
