So I noticed that a lot of new novels have been getting dropped one of these is a novel that was reading myself and I found this odd. All new novels are voted for and the novel I was reading did seem quite popular, but it was still dropped and the translator told us it was cause of revenue issues.
I noticed that with fast passes you can basically keep up to date with a novels daily releases just by the fast passes you can earn daily. You get three passes a day which means you can basically unlock three chapters a day this makes it possible for a reader to keep up with 1-3 novels for free if they have a daily release rate of 1-3 chapters. This would stop the novels from generating their expected income and result in them being dropped.
I like the fast passes, but feel they really should be balanced better as novels that clearly won in the voting pool are being dropped cause they are not earning enough money, but part of the reason why is that the web novel system allows readers to exploit fast passes to read new novels for free.
I think that fast passes need to be limited by how many you can use for a certain amount of time per a novel and also can't be used on the latest released chapters before a set time. For example you can only say use 10 fast passes per a month on the same novel and you can't use fast passes on chapters till a week after they have been released.
Just a suggesting, but think it is worth considering as web novel as like me I have seen a lot of people complaining about the new webnovels getting dropped and doesn't seem to be cause they weren't popular.
