You can add all the free magic moneys you get with the magic moneys you pay with real moneys over a 70 day period and work out per chapter how much you pay in real moneys based on the cost of magic moneys.

That doesn't sound needlessly convoluted and confusing at all... Real Buyer Friendly...

    One thing you can do is read the novel in batches. It will save you a lot of SS because only last to chapter are normally locked

      My biggest problem with premium is that once you start paying for chapters, you can't stop because you won't get one free chapter a day any longer until the free ones catch up to where you last paid for. If QI starts throwing more and more of these novels under that pay wall then a flat subscription would've been a better idea.

          The expiration date isn't that big of a deal. It just keeps you from stockpiling spirit stones for future use. It's just that the price to read a novel from start to finish assuming every chapter was premium would be somewhere around 200$ which is not a price I'm willing to pay for reading novels.

          I like and support the new premium system. Translators and hosts have to earn money

            Kantisett they were trying to make system. Its like, they pay translator and they need money and the prems are supplying them.

            Well, if you are an avid fan of a novel from the start. I mean QI is not yet started, how much money you could donate to the translators who will do fast pace chapters.
            They were like 25-75$ per chapter. And I saw once who donated a whole 10 chapter cost who release it in just one day.
            Its just that my point is, there are people who are crazy to buy it.

            Like the most people say here when you read a novel,

            "I need MORE".

                    You can get 50 SS, thats about 2-3 chapters at most (more often than not just 2 with a little left over), of the same old regurgitated "YOU DARE!?" "Your father, I," "KILL!" and "DIE!!!".

                    or

                    You can buy a whole book (in pdf/kindle format) on amazon, of your favorite genre.

                    The choice ain't hard. There is 0 reason to support qidian's cash grab or pay-gated content.

                      Boartank2 Earning money is okay. Supporting the translator is okay. But when novels get more and more locked chapters and the older ones are not unlocking is just awful. 100+ locked chapters at some of the novels I like is just too much. I am okay if I am behind for a week or 2. Or I need to watch ads to unlock the chapters. If this is how things will be I will stop coming here because I can't afford it at this rate.

                          I did the math and many of the novels, at the current rates, will cost around $300 each to read. Some will be less because they were pretty advanced when premium started. But for most, that will be the low end of the costs. If they were continuing with the regular release I would understand but if you pay premium and read up a few chapters. You are stuck there unless you stay premium because at that point you do not get a free or advance chapter release anymore.

                          For me, that means going and reading elsewhere or reading other novels. But I think, looking at the trend, eventually all novels on here will be premium.
                          I understand this is a business for them and they need to make money. But consider, if you read 3 novels at the same time you will be looking at $1000 to read through. And this is based on the current 30% bonus for the highest spirit stone package. For your $1000 you get to read them online. They are not electronic copies so you do not have a novel to read later if they decide to remove them for some reason.

                          I would much rather they publish an electronic version and charge me for it than this pay to read only.
