Hello everyone. I just want to promote my work from Webnovel.

Title: INTERTWINED

TEASER:

KC, the shy and sheltered heir of the Dostoevsky Group of Companies, experienced a number of traumatic incidents at a very young age.

She witnessed how her parents were brutally killed when she was just 7 years old that made her a bit introverted and have some social anxieties.

Tin, on the other hand is like a breath of fresh air. She loves to paint and express her feelings through that. She always follow her friend Sandy who always take the lead.

Sandy, the fighter and liberated one was the most protective of KC. She’s dominant, aggressive and will do anything she thinks is good and right for KC. She doesn’t conform on what other people say.

The two, Tin and Sandy, were tasked to take care and protect KC by none other than KC’s only family—her tita Yumi and tito Tor.

They report to them, unknowingly to KC.

Nikolai, on the other hand, is the most popular singer in the Philippines and KC’s soulmate, according to her.

KC has been in love with him ever since she was in studying in high school in the States.

She had been dreaming of meeting him in person especially that he is under the management of their recording company in the Philippines.

She decided to work as a regular employee in the company after she took up her master’s degree in the States and go undercover to make sure that Nikolai would fall in love with her as the simple girl she really is—without the connection of the Dostoevsky’s.

Fortunately she was able to make him fall in love with her, she thinks.

But she doesn’t believe in sex before marriage. She wants to do it on their first night as husband and wife.

What happens if Sandy and Tin fell in love with Nikolai as well?

And to her KC’s shock, she is actually pregnant when she had never been intimate to any man before?

What will happen to their intertwined lives?

Thank you so much

I took today as a break from reading and listing stories on my blog in order to write an article and allow visitors to read it. The article reviews why the first story scored a full 15/15 on Virtual Bookshelf. If you're interested on my thought process using an actual story as an example, feel free to read it as I wrote it with the hopes of helping writers and readers alike to reach this final goal of 15/15 on VB.

Do let me know if it helps/clarifies how I assess, or if I should any any more explanation about something. :)

It's interesting how a book reaching this high score and seeming so well written would have lost me as reader to the one which it is compared. As you described it, it's nice, but it doesn't seem too engaging...

Also, is there a way to comment in the posts, or is the feature locked?

Book_Keeper I couldn't add you on discord for some reason so I am leaving mine, here I would love to have your assessment on my story.

(it is new, original and not too popular either & I feel it has the potential... let me know your thoughts)

they are some good stories similar or different from WN format. But they do make a good read. They are not perfect neither is mine, but they are stories worth a shot I feel.

let me know your thoughts eagerly waiting to hear from you soon.

LAUDAsan Hi, thanks for informing me! I'm not sure since when there was a 1 at the end of the link, haha, but this should work as the permalink: https://discord.gg/QQSpcmu

SrtaA Yes, I keep personal enjoyment/bias out of it when considering the structure of how a novel was written. Several highly-rated stories are not my cup of tea, but to be fair, I remain consistent to the VB standards. As for the one I compared it to, it was a story that I was seriously considering to rate as 15 previously, but there were a few parts off kilter about its pace and development. If tidied up a little, that story could easily be 15 too.

All of your stories have been read, assessed, and listed on Virtual Bookshelf. They were all part of post #40 of Webnovel Assessments.

chweetsie Unfortunately, much of your story is written in another language. As Virtual Bookshelf is strictly for English stories only, your story was not included.

As I noted in a previous post Book_Keeper, I'm merely reading, assessing, and indexing story recommendations on my blog. I am not providing any feedback besides the numerical score. But since many are still asking for it, I thought of a bullet-point format that would allow me to give feedback to a large volume of novels.

However, since I want to keep this thread on-topic to recommendations, and making another associated thread would make the process possibly confusing or cumbersome, I'm only going to provide this feedback to assessed stories through the Discord.

I've noticed that with both other people's feedback and mine, writers don't often apply advice that they're given. I know that many writers are hobbyist as it's difficult to making it a career or have time to be truly serious amidst life responsibilities. But it is a shame when the rare, well-thought out reviews I've encountered are wasted. So I'm hoping that the conversational discussion format of Discord might help to address this while also filtering out those who are truly serious in improving their craft.

Whether or not this idea will work, we'll see. For now, this will be another way to help authors (and indirectly readers, too) which I can amend in the future if need be.

[I added this message to the first post on the thread.]

Book_Keeper Hmmm I'm not into Discord but I think VB is a valid channel for aspiring writers.
But... I couldn't assign myself a role, type, or whatever when I entered...

SrtaA On the info and rules channel, there is a verification react role post by MEE6. :) After that, you can self-assign more on the roles channel.
