I've been trying to use the new m.webnovel.com interface on my PC, since I get directed there every once in a while. However navigation, especially back to my Library, is just too uncertain. I read 6-8 ongoing books each day, and switching between them just doesn't work.

Examples:
If I've read a chapter and want to check something in my Inbox and click on my avatar and then Inbox, I then have no way to go anywhere except WebNovel Home. I can't get to my Library. If I use the the browser back, I end up some random place, most often way after the comments of the novel I was reading, but sometimes earlier chapters, and sometimes even chapters of other novels I had read.

It is often the case that the current chapter (gotten to from Library) I am reading replaces Library in the browser history revealed by clicking and holding the browser back button. I have no good way of getting to the Library whenever this happens; I have to either go through Webnovel Home or type in the pathname of library. This doesn't always happen, but seems to happen very often when I am reading more than one chapter and use a fast pass at least once. If I just click the browser back button, or click the top panel back button after bringing it up, I often get taken to other novel chapters I have already read.

Possibly associated with the above bug (as I try to get back to where I was), my placement in my ongoing novels is goofed up. I often have to scroll over 3-4 chapters I have already read, and at least once have ended up on chapter 1 of the novel.

Should I not be using m.webnovel.com at all?

I say use the desktop/www version for now. The m version seens kind of buggy at the moment

Veronica8 Yes, for now. My worry is that unless we point out the flaws, they're not going to fix them and some day they will make the mobile version the default version (with the laudable goals of reducing the number of versions they support, and being able to not have the desktop version lag behind the other versions (as it does now).

But they have to make it at least usable if they want folks to point out the flaws!

CrispyCritter After you click the inbox from the avatar on the reading page, if you want to go to the library again, can you click the avatar? There will also be a popup and you can click the library from the popup.

dapenggaofei Yes, you're right, that works - I didn't think of that. Thanks.

If you're going to have the avatar be the general mechanism for getting places, you might want to have it on the reading chapters page as well. Offer a consistent way of thinking about navigation (I've been spoiled by having the library page always immediately clickable).

Keep getting redirected to the mobile version, and the sizing of everything is completely out of proportion. I really wish there was a way to stop the redirect from happening. As is, the mobile version is painful to even attempt using.

Just erase the m and the dot after m, and it goes to the web version automatically. I do that every time for all websites...
