For me this is novel was actually painful to read. I managed to read through 340 chapters, and by the end of it I was having literal anxiety attacks due to how much was foreshadowed versus how much nothing actually happened.
Cultivation as in the fantasy novels we read is simply impossible to exist in real life

Cantiara the parents being irresponsible doesnt make it valid for companies to exploit that irresponsibility to get more money
kazesenken thats why I said it was notorious. And Im already voting with my wallet, by supporting sites that actually care about both readers and writers alike. And while we may know how to take care of our money, how about kids who have access to their parent's credit card, or people with certain disorders? Its unfortunately very common for that to happen
MotivatedSloth tell me which part of the whole ss/coin thing is not exploitative (buying virtual currency for real money is a well known and notorious way of making users unknowingly spend more than they would have normally) and dont even get me started on the "privilege" chapters bullshit

We have been asking for a very long time to have moderation or at least a change in how xp works, but Qidian has done exactly nothing so far. I guess they are only enthusiastic about getting more money instead of making their platform actually enjoyable for the readers.
The whole xp system was a terrible mistake. I just gave up reading comments in most novels because its just a sea of people spamming to get xp.
The main reason I do not want to buy SS, Coins or whatever its called, is not because I want "free stuff" but because I do not want to fuel Qidian's greed. Over the years I have been supporting my favorite creators directly through patreon, and would love if I could do the same for my favorite authors and translators here on Qidian.
MotivatedSloth authors going to patreon would actually be preferable imo. Better than giving money to a greedy company like qidian
