"But there are too many premium chapters!" -to catch up pay a little fee
Or invite a lot of homies.
I have 2 premium novels + 1 after April 18 and I didn't pay a cent to catch up with the premium chapters. I have ~1000 SS from 10 friends and family members.
I think it's too easy to earn SS without becoming a premium user.
Why premium isn't bad?!
Math
Going rate today is $20 for 1000ss (plus bonus)
I went for dim sum over the weekend. Bill came out to $50. I figured normal 15% was $7.50. I got lazy and tipped 20% instead. So I gave $60.
Should I have saved $2.50, I could’ve gotten 125 ss....I bought a boboa tea which I didn’t finish for almost $5.00 (250ss). Took son to McDonald’s and I got a meal for about $8 (400 ss)
Point being .... if translator(s) get 100% and each chapter roughly 10ss, I gave 20cents per chapter.
I WANT translators to make more $ so they continue even after school, better competition. Better translations. When issth was ending I was worried that was it from that translator so I donated $5 per month
1000 SS is about 250 chapters if each cost 4 SS. 12 SS for some novels. If you are reading more than 1 premium novel that's definitely not enough. Don't get me started on the expiring SS.

The idea of this site having a PREMIUM or PAY OPTION is not the same as discussing THIS PREMIUM OPTION.
The whole premise of "authors, translators and qidan deserve money" is not an argument against specific criticisms against this payment scheme. That is just equivocation and a poor one at that.
I think THIS PREMIUM OPTION is shit and I refuse to pay until they offer something better... I don't think its me being a failure or cheap.... Moreso qidan offering up a half baked, needlessly confusing and questionably transparent payment scheme that many people including myself.
Good that you being a middle aged woman with kids can afford mcdonalds... I can as well you know cos I work but its different for a 13-18 yr old whos living on pocket money. I think the pay per chapter model is distinctly alienating to younger audiences and that is bad if you are trying to develop a buisness plan with some longevity.
The mass release is counted?
