        I heard your desperate plea/ It reminded me of myself a couple of years ago. Since I couldn't find true to life stories, I began writing one.
        Why don't you take a dive and write about things that you see. Because life is the most beautiful novel happening around us.

          luckyone4812 Well If I were a unscrupulous person I would recommend my own work, but I have to admit it is largely cause the good novels tend to be buried under a mountain of popular genres where they lean into troupes hardcore.

          If you want to find some good stories I would say steer clear for a year or two from Wuxia/Xianxia and LitRPGs or "system" novels. While they can be entertaining they tend to be very formulaic. Take a respite and read some more traditional style novels.

              Maybe you can check out my work. I'm not gonna pretend that my novel is the most unique story out there but all I'll say that it is different than the stories you'd normally find here. It's a fantasy work, urban fantasy to be specific, that is heavy on worldbuilding and character centric. It does not have game mechanics or cultivations or lovable MC with OP powers...or revenge-seeking angsty MC with OP powers.
              It's about a guy who does not feel very special who happens to find something that might make him special with heavy costs and sacrifices attached to it.

              Name = Grimoire: Atonement of Souks
              Genre = Urban Fantasy, Supernatural, Mystery, Action
              Basic Summary = It's about a 16 year old guy, Aarav, who accidently steps up into an age old war between demons and grim reapers where he tries to save a little boy from 3 black robed people and ends up getting chased by a tentacled monster.
              Full Summary =
              Aarav ran away.
              Who could really blame him, though? The list of things Aarav that didn't excel at was long and humiliating, borderline pathetic even. A list that included fighting too. So when he encounters a group of monk-looking assailants in black with books floating next to them, ganging up on a little harmless kid…he wasn't exactly sure how to deal with that situation. More so, when that strange encounter snowballs into him being attacked by a giant tentacled monster; he did the only thing he excelled at—he ran away.
              Being able to see the dead since his birth was strange enough for him but being chased by a monster was taking things a bit too far. But now thrust into the strange world of dead souls, demons and grim reapers; Aarav has to make a choice. Does he continue to live in the ignorance of the blurred lines of two worlds, or will he muster up the courage to do what is right? To save the people close to him, no matter the lengths he has to go to achieve that goal.
              Even if it required his own death.
