Is swearing allowed in a story? Or do they need to be censored, like in the comments? Which words are censored and which aren't?
Apologies if I missed a section in the FAQ about this, I may have overlooked something.
Swearing in webnovel?
Swearing is allowed, I mean the smut novels alone should indicate a few curse words aren't any major concern. Just keep in mind, unless they're a sailor cursing like one can turn off the reader.

I have read cursing in a number of novels. My novel has cursing in it too, because of its intense nature. I censor most of my curse words though.
As for comments, I notice that Webnovel removes every comment with uncensored cursing and the word "bdsm" or any sensitive content, even in 18+ books.
This is just weird for me. I mean, why remove the comments even in an 18+ book? Also, without warning the commenter of use of language...
It's frustrating as an author to see this notification of a hilarious comment on your book, but be unable to reply because the comment has been removed for having "sensitive" content.
The reader would think you're ignoring them or something, not knowing the reason you can't like or respond to their comment is because it's been removed...

SpilledInk I totally agree like we can see them fine and others can’t it’s like, I don’t get why we don’t have the choice to choose whether to delete or not? LMAO is a no no word too! Cuz it’s laughing my a*s off. Like. Why.
