Grand_Void_Daoist I mean, if it were a marketing thing, wouldn't it make more sense to market it as "for males" and "for females" instead of "male lead" and "female lead?" Having all female-lead stories automatically go under romance can lead to false advertising too; just cause the lead is female doesn't necessarily mean there will be romance (though, to be fair, on this site it seems like most female-lead stories are romance lol).

The story then follows the heroes as they try to face the challenges that the Demon Lord creates for them for his own entertainment.
Fair warning, there are quite a lot of LGBT themes explored. Not anything R-18, just a lot of talking about LGBT issues and that kind of thing. It can be a turn off for some people.

My novel does have female protagonists that have their own minds in my novel. It is under male lead, but it's more of an ensemble cast.
The main plot is that a Mage King from another world reincarnates into our world, and decides to use his powers to make his life into an anime. Said female leads are the people he chooses to be his "protagonists," and the story is about them facing all the problems he puts in their way, without knowing that he's controlling everything. I like to think that I've made compelling characters, but try it out and tell me if I'm wrong :P
Fair warning though, there are a lot of LGBT issues talked about in the novel. Nothing R-rated, just LGBT people and their perspectives (of those specific characters, I should say. Not every LGBT person is the same after all lol). If you don't like that kind of thing, this novel might not be for you.

Also, while there is some romance, it's not the driving force of the story (except for the bl one, but even then it's secondary to the superhero elements in that story)
