No clue, but there is a novel named Transmigration published in 1970.
Not sure what the first one was, but the first one to really popularize the genre seems to be Mushoku Tensei. At least, it's widely accepted as doing so.
ShoeInk There is also a saying that Mushoku Tensei is the Godfather of Isekai or Transmigration or something like that. After that, the transmigration trope became popular around that time though.

Maybe amongst know fuck all kids that statement holds water but the isekai/transmigration trope LONG predates it. With light novels, Mangas and anime of immense numbers drowning it.
Not to say its not a great example of the trope... just that its only the most RECENT addition of such.
