My favorite novels so far are chaos' heir, birth of the demonic sword, supreme magus, dimensional descent. I need something similar to these novels. I want a "not dumb" mc that starts from the bottom and grows with the time, I really hate harem and silly pee pee poo poo 12 years old jokes so please don't recommend these type of novels. I want a serious stroy with nice amount of detail and world building that I can enjoy without cringing. And lastly please don't recommend your own novels because no matter how good it is if I don't know it that means that it either is mediocre at best or good/great but doesn't have enough chapters to be discovered.

HolyScheisse I can understand you need recommendations, but calling one's work mediocre is bogus. If you don't know of it, your reading isn't as extensive as you think. Webnovel is a huge platform with billions of people using it. You're not reading every good story there is. Just saying.

my book means something like 5-6 out of 10 and if you consider other media such as movies or tv shows and think how many of them can't even reach that scale you should be able undestand what I mean when I say mediocre. mvrningkisses What would you call all the releases with copied plots, awful humours, edge lord MCs, and harem girls that are always the most beautiful there are? There are lots of novels like these that most people wouldn't read even if you paid them for it. I get that people don't like harsh words but it is just the reality of things. And no, even though people think mediocre means bad it means average, ordinary, not very good, or just acceptable and yeah %99 of the time when I check recommend stuff from authors they are mostly just mediocre.

I just finished reading "Taylor Varga" - a huge, interesting work with a smooth plot, I advise. It is also interesting to read Coeur Al'Aran with his adventures in the world of rwby.
I can also try to advise you to pay attention to Russian authors, they sometimes have very interesting works, but their fanfictions are very rarely translated.
For example, there is a cycle of works "ะะตัะดะฐัะฝัะน ะฒัะฑะพั", but after 4 books, I stopped reading. For example try to check noslnosl (hp and other), Chernoyar (kancolle) and mb "ะจะะะ.".
A regular online translator is enough for comfortable reading.
If you do not know these fandoms, then it becomes even more interesting to read, each work is like a new book.

HolyScheisse I agree with Mask. Just because the story isn't popular doesn't make it mediocre. That's very mean. I'm willing to bet that some unpopular stories out there are better than some of the big shots you see every day. Popularity and views sometimes mean nth. I understand that you don't like the cliche, generic stories which is fine cause I don't either, but your post can demotivate new authors who are genuinely putting effort into their novel. Be careful how you bring across your thoughts because it sounded very stereotypical...
