Where the novel is rn, she switches soul with DFY after she saved him from the attack of tigers. Ever since he saved her, he used 90% of his spiritual power, so he’s become vulnerable to attacks (hence the soul switching). They had to live together to practice an exercise to switch back. The mysterious man thought LSY was on his side. Since the MM took over the puppet, he wants to replace DFY and destroy the Lord. Unfortunately, LSY played him and helped DFY and GXJ. They later planned with LSY to trap the white-robed man. Afterwards, they succeed in switching back. LSY publicly announced that they were all acting so there’s no relationship between DFY and GXJ, since everybody knows him and GXJ seem to like each other. Everything went back to normal but DFY started to ignore GXJ and talk to another girl (the twin girl from battle). DFY taught one of her classes but her ignore her and not ask her questions. She felt uncomfortable so she’d skip class. DFY arranged an assessment which a level 7 strength minimum but GXJ is level 6.5 or so. She failed but kept trying. DFY told her to stop but she refused. Later he explained that he was just playing hard to get since she likes him but won’t accept his feelings. He fed her a forbidden food (I think a Phoenix bird) and thunder struck as punishment. GXJ is scared of thunders to she clung to him. He took her to a cave and helped her digest the food. They were cramped together to they kissed and got all lovey dovey. When they left the cave, he took her to try the assessment again and she passed. He asked if she was happy, and she said she was so happy that she could dance. DFY told her to pole dance and she rejects him saying there was no sexy cloth or high heels or pole. DFY told her to describe all the things she needed and he made it for her. She pole danced for him and he couldn’t control himself so he pounced on her. When things were getting dangerous, she broke their kiss shyly and teleported to her room and she was love struck.
That’s how they made it official.

DFY and GXJ planned to get married and everything but she ran away to the 8th peak, leaving DFY hanging. (She did that because she heard him speak with some other people about taking care of her real body. So she thought he was in love with the “real” GXJ and cherishes the body more than her soul) — The translation in that area wasn’t very clear. That the reason I could make out but it might be put differently when translated. I think DFY was talking to the LanJingYi because GXY heard “brother-in-law”. Anyway, she misunderstood their conversation and ran away without confronting DFY.
She met “GXJ” real brother at the 8th peak and they acknowledged each other. On the day of the wedding, DFY was disgraced and unhappy, so he was in their wedding chamber drinking a new wine he made. GXJ’s soul appeared in the room and it wasn’t until she was about to leave that DFY saw her. GXJ thought it was a dream but it really happened. She was sad but she misunderstood him.

GXJ was sad because he didn’t sneak out to see her. They do get married and all. Unfortunately, they were trapped in the 8th peak for 7 (or 9 can’t remember clearly) years before leaving.

MushokuTensei The current chapter Webnovel is at has already passed that arc. It was before the wedding. The person who switched her body and erased her memories was an Omen along with LSY’s dad, Long Fan. He was the scientist that cloned GXJ.
