the thing is you are putting yourself out there, so there will be times that people will be rude.

Bad review without reading? That can qualify as "judging the book by its cover". Don't sweat it and don't give bullies more attention, because that's what they seek.

First off, I'm the "hater and bullier" in question. However, she's completely misrepresenting what actually happened.

  1. I never reviewed your book. I've never reviewed anyone's book, in fact, except for IRAS. I don't believe in rating my peers' works.
  2. All I said on facebook was that it was against the rules for you to be advertising your novel as there is a given day for you to advertise. You were not following the rules of the group, so...
  3. You HAVE been spamming your novel everywhere. I've seen it on several threads that have absolutely nothing to do with advertising novels. Heck, there was one where someone was talking about how there was an issue with updating chapters for originals novels, and you just copy pasted your entire shtick into the conversation.

If you have an issue with someone telling you to follow the rules of the facebook group, or to advertise your novel in a way that isn't just copy pasting your synopsis and a link to your novel in every topic you see, related or unrelated to original novels, then fine. But calling it bullying and hating is far from what actually happened.

    So we are now in the assumption that this is:
    1) related to your mistimed Facebook Ad which did not follow the Facebook rules
    2) You spam adverts in forums
    3) The low review you got that showed Chapter 0 as read.

    For 1) You were in the wrong though and I read that reply before in Webnovel FB GRoup. It wasn't really that harsh but, to each their own.

    For 2) You have been doing this too excessively, so I suggest you tone it down as it is "too much" for a lot of people. There is a place and time for everything. Don't spam.

    For 3) People do sometimes read without logging in. Then they reach a tipping point where they would want to review, so they login. When they do that, their status resets to chapter 0 if they don't backread to the last chapter they stopped at. Heck, people can go to the most recent chapter and immediately post a review to pretend to have updated themselves in the book before reviewing. That's how the system recognizes it. You could ask the reviewer until what chapter they have read for them to make such a comment, but you also mocked them didn't you?

    You could also wait for them to respond, maybe a week, before reporting the review.

    It's not even a big deal that you are making it out to be.

      But, girl, [unknown], your grammar is really not good and I also think the copy & pasting of your synopsis on a lot of threads is annoying. :( And I tried reading your first chapter so it's not just your grammar in the posts here. Maybe you should get an editor. At least editing your work may lead to additional readers. :)

            DazzlingGem I assumed it was me because she said the person attacked her on facebook and I was the only one to comment on her post and say that she shouldn't be spamming posts everywhere as she said in one of her comments below the topic post.

            SO unless someone PMed her or something, it's probably talking about me and she is guessing the account is mine, which you can see it is not.

                        DazzlingGem Yes, I get that, hence #3. Given it could be one of the three, or all of the three.

                        But she needs an editor badly. Just by her posts alone, which is a "showcase" of her grasp of English, you already see she needs help in that department.

                        I mean, she is already lucky her novel is posted here. Imagine if it was posted on a site mainly read by native english speakers/readers, she'll be brutalized. Not bullied, a rain of 0.5 is likely to fall on her.

                        It's also easy to report the review once the fact is clear if she asked the person who reviewed how far they actually read.
                        I got a low review on mine and showed Chapter 1. I asked the guy how far he really got, and he said around Chapter 10. So I appreciate his review, regardless if it was a positive or negative.

                        You can't really expect everyone to be all positive in reading every work, sometimes it is just catering to tastes and sometimes they just got curious and gave you a chance.

                        What happens when you end up disappointing them? They either be civil or blow their lid off.

                        It's just a review. No need to make a big deal out of it. She can report it. But what did she do too? Instead of asking how far the guy read, it appears she became too defensive and even tried stooping down a level or two. Not really the right step to take. And also this post? If it was targeted, I get it, but is just 1 review. You weren't carpet bombed with 1 star reviews, right?

                            You should contemplate over your mistakes now that you know the truth!!

                                  if @whe is not the one and he may misunderstood this thread and A man actually exist with a name similar to Inbred on Webnovel, you can also say that he was also annoyed as I remember his review mentioning something about Advertisements.
                                  SO still contemplate over it... I will put in a 5star review to balance it out(Don't read remonace novels).
