I advocate it because it is good for everyone involved (readers, authors, publishers, translators)

Do you want to see a $0.04 per chapter paywall instead?

Did you know how much is QI revenue from their paywall system?
It's much much much more than that of freemium

Evidence that Qidian International paywall will generate much much more revenue than Qidian International freemium?

it's fine if you could get free spirit stones everyday

If you read 2 chapters a day, then 8 free spirit stones is enough. If you read more, it will cost you $0.04 per chapter.

You don't need to be around for many years before you start charging for premium service because new users will get the same content as paid users.

Spotify is a good example of freemium and they charge from day 1 for those that want to skip ads.

As of July 2017, Spotify had 60 million paying subscribers worldwide, up from 30 million paying subscribers in March 2016.

Free music streaming with ads (attract a lot of users)
$9.99 a month for Spotify Premium to skip ads ( some of the free users will switch to paid users).

I don't get the logic that www.webnovel.com has to be around for many years before offering a premium service for those who want to skip ads.

New free users and current free users will get the same content as paid users who want to skip ads.

        Look at J-Novel Club.

They charge from day 1 for those who want to read Japanese light novels/web novels.

        Becoming a J-Novel Club Member costs $4.95 a month, or $54 a year (=$4.50 a month).

        Becoming a J-Novel Club Premium Member costs $10.95 a month, or $120 a year ($10 a month).

And free users on J-Novel Club? There are no such things.

        www.webnovel.com
$0.04 per chapter paywall (first 100 chapters are free)

        www.webnovel.com
        Free with ads
$5.99 a month to skip ads, read 5-10 chapters ahead of free users, extra power stones

I know which system will benefit the readers, the translators, the authors and publishers more.

ssound5rs I know which system will benefit the readers, the translators, the authors and publishers more.

          Paywall: $0.01/stones
          $0.04/chap (author: $0.02, translator: $0.01, publisher(QI): $0.01)
and us, the reader just need to pay for our fav novels.

          Paying Subs: $6/month
Per chap (author: $0.0001?, trans $00000?)
Readers $6/m ( actually I just read "the strongest system" on Webnovel #NotWorthItFor$6 )

I don’t understand the situation as I’m new to the forum. As far as I got from reading the comments above, there’s gonna be a fee to use QI?

DarkShadowow Maybe somewhere in the far distant future, at least not until they get a sufficiently large and stable userbase. It's best to just ignore this kind of posts, seems he just seems to be spamming them for the sake of it.

ssound5rs ofc i wanted to read free but you know this won't do anything. If QI decided to add paywall system it will be hard to deal with that. Judging from QI poor service paywall wont be implented any time soon

DarkShadowow this guy that starts threads after threads is just a qidian shill that wants us to contribute to his opinion that they will implement a paywall. Just don't be fooled by him, it will probably happen sometime, but why even talk about it now

If it comes down to it and we get forced to pay to read I don’t know if I would read the few first months but wait until a few more series got translated and some of my favorites got completed and then become customer for 5-6months as long as the prize isn’t higher than Netflix or via play and that there are an easy way to pay with since We don’t use euro or dollars(Maybe through paypal like in Patreon)well whatever it probably end up like I’ve done with Netflix customer for 6month don’t use for one year redo again I’m 22 and a student so not much money and I’ve done it that way since I where 18 with Netflix. But if they make it that you have to pay for each Novel you read I would stop reading completly🤕

References to Spotify and the such clearly indicates that you are looking too far into the future.

If you compare Qidian International to Spotify then screw it all. And till you get a official response from Qidian this speculating and "spamming" is fruitless
