Hey everyone,

I do have quite a good idea about a novel, but I wonder how long many words is a good chapter length, and how many chapters I should post to make people get an idea.

And if someone is interested in proofreading and helping me with a proper title, that would be great too.

Thanks in advanced,
Sander

Sander_Oniisan Proper chapter will range from 1000 to 2500 words.
You can write shorter 500-1000 words chapters as well for quantity purposes (Many do).

For system novels or other typical reincarnation, transmigration typically should take a 1-3 chapter to convey the idea while other weird Original ones take longer.
The shorter it takes to get people interested the better.

I don't mind reading your work and helping you out, but I am not that experienced in writing.

Sander_Oniisan what @KingBiBiK said is what's commonly accepted, however, I say, don't limit yourself if you feel you need more words in your chapter, mine tend to range from 2k-4k words per chapter, tho I've been shortening them recently by chance, I just take however long I feel I need to complete the chapter.;,;.
Also as far as maybe getting an editor is concerned, I've made a thread for just that purpose (connecting original authors to editors), Please check it out: https://forum.webnovel.com/d/8301-original-authors-and-editors/

I actually do not suggest reaching over 3k words in a chapter (exception of it being the Prologue, Epilogue, First Chapter, or the Climax of a fight scene). The cutting of words for each chapter in the range of 1k-2k is meant to reduce mental stress when reading, taking a break from the stop of a certain chapter helps the readers push through the stories faster. :)
