Yeah, the only thing the cover shows is a stereotypical depiction of witches that anime/movies made popular. An injustice to the otherwise good novel.
PhoenixNii actually I also want to laugh with that big large witch hat. I wonder how they keep that hat in their head when they flying on the broom

I use ublock, just right click the cover and select "block this element"
The old cover wasn't much better. Had a random woman with crows on her shoulder
Maybe get someone to draw a cover who has actually read the book.
But this problem is hardly limited to THE. Most novels have unrepresentative covers
