SweetsTomato That'd be exciting! I'm at two chapters with 3,624 words. I think I'm going to aim to get 10k done... by the end of the contest even if it kills me!

      I was told there would be judges, so I'm guessing there will be select individuals to decide the outcome. Makes sense if they're willing to offer contracts for novels that are written well.

      I hope that the next contest will add the minimum word count and/or the number of chapters to required to qualify or something.

        Somehow I like the current contest. No already made novel can enter, unlike the RtW contest. Or no mobs squad account mobilize to throw PS and give good reviews over certain novel. 😁😁😁

        caffeinefocus I prefer the future contest duration to be longer. For example the winners needed to maintain their novel for at least 2/3 months (60-90 chapters hopefully) before the monetary reward (for a note, this competition didn't give monetary but promotion and spirit stones reward) will be given. Webnovel could check the stability of the update.

        I also found some authors dropped their main novel to participate in this contest (hopefully it is just some hiatus). I believe this is a blunder for webnovel. Since dropped novel = disappointed readers = lost customers = lost the platforms = lose original authors = loss new novels.

            MasterRabbink Yours is a great idea! Stability of updates, as well as commitment to the novel, is something that needs to be greatly promoted by Webnovel and they really should add that as a requirement in their contests. I find that original webnovel entries in the recent contest/s are mostly written as just that-- contest entries. Of course, I have no problem with it if it's a "seriously written" one, and not something that will be completely abandoned or unupdated for ages once the contest ends :(

                redmoonprincess For the winner. Besides 60-90 chapters isn't that hard. I preferred the webnovel to inform the contest before hand. Set for example 10-20 chapters (or based on words 10.000-20.000 words long), all categorized into "incubator" novels.

                The winner would be "sponsored" (didn't mean just monetary. Promotion and guidance by a professional editor/experienced webnovel Chinese author for example) for 1-2 months to continue their winning novels (on the other hand perhaps webnovel could request certain period of exclusivity). After those incubator period, the novel would be included in the normal ranking. While the rest participants (most likely will be dropped by their own authors) would be disappear like other dropped original novels and perhaps 1 or 2 would bloom into a real novel worth reading.

                So this would be a contest of idea rather than a contest of writer. Perhaps a new stone could be used to vote. I believed webnovel could detect duplicate accounts. Even Google knew me when I used duplicate account, webnovel's parents company I believed had the technology.

                        eros When you create a new novels after a competition open, there is an additional option to select. So it based on the creation time. If you didn't select the option even if your novel is new, it wouldn't be included in the contest.

                            My Story for next week contest:
                            There was a female rabbink in a big modern city was busy writing a novel when she got a BBM broadcast from her group (anybody still used BBM?). The message said that MasterRabbink the most handsome rabbink in the universes and the CEO of multi billion rabbink companies, hosted a gala to find a beautiful rabbink for his wife. His annoying Father Rabbink had told him to pick a female lead or MasterRabbink wouldn't get his inheritance, an ancient webnovel, which he wanted to read but it was dropped. The original writer had tried to disappear but his father somehow managed to force the writer to finish the story.
                            Female Rabbink was the lady's name. She looked into her closet. Yet, she couldn't find any beautiful party gown. So she decided to visit a RabbinkMart next block to purchase one. Unfortunately the scary Rabbink Shopkeeper forbade her to enter the store. Only the fairest female rabbinks could purchase in the store.
                            Luckily she found a system. A Mother Fairy system. But the Female Rabbink didn't want to become a fairy who helped other unlucky ladies. She took the system, farmed the fairy point, and purchased many gacha gambling and finally she managed to turn her PC into a rabbinkmobile. She also transformed her pet, a snow mouse, into a driver. Finally she created a magnificent frozen-theme costume.
                            She came to the dance floor. Master Rabbink felt there was something different from the Female Rabbink. She was cold. Unlike the other ladies in the party who were hot to him. They danced together for 1.000 centuries. However, suddenly the system ringed that the 24.00 clock would ring in 5 minutes. All magic would disappear. Female Rabbink must return home. Her readers would remove their power stones if she didn't publish a new chapter.
                            She ran and MasterRabbink chased her. They went into various rooms inside the mansion. However the clock already rang when she almost entered her rabbinkmobile.
                            [No!!!] She thought. She used frozen-theme dress but it was melted in the middle of the night. Her naked body was seen by MasterRabbink. She couldn't get married in the future. No male rabbink would marry a girl who had been seen by other.
                            "You must marry me!" She declared.
                            MasterRabbink felt afraid. He ran into the Endless Universes to teach some apprentice Gods. Please read it!

                            End the story. Gwahahaha.
