Indeed, it took me a while to get used to Chinese.

I watched Quan Zhi Fa Shi (Versatile Mage) after Quan Zhi Gao Shou (TKA). Omg did they differ so MUCH 😩.

I regret watching Versatile Mage. So childish I think there should be a caution that it's 'for people who wants to kill their brain cells'. The characters are high schoolers who acted and bicker like kindergarten kids. And so I only watched the first season, can't be bothered to check second season. Why this stupid story being made into animation, I don't know.

Though I would say the animation is not bad, it's quality is acceptable. Unlike some Japanese anime that look wonky in some frames, but okay in other frames.

emptybun Nah!! I never mentioned the spoken chinese in the anime... what I spoke was about the background soundtracks that run in these anime's, they are mostly(if not entirely) same and seemed to be stock soundtracks from public domain music.

profiterole haha!! forgot to mention it, a novel that held the promise of being the next dragon ball became something that even the stupid kids would shit on!!

P.S. sorry to the animators though, this is just criticism don't be offended!!(you will do better next time)

Max255 then I am really fortunate to drop it off at first season πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. To give the animators credit, it's not their fault. It was the author who wrote such cringey story. I checked the novel. It was worse than the anime.

If you are talking about official subtitling of Chinese animation, it has to do with licensing issues with Tencent Video. So until those issues are cleared, they won't be available for now.

One of the reasons for bad chinese animation plot could be the limited choices they have. Most CNs have ruthless murder and sexual cultivationπŸ™„. Animations cannot have both.

Max255 imagine a reverend insanity without gore and multiple novels without harem/sex.
It would not be the same anymore

Water0202020 Harem/Sex reduce the available audience. For example I believe WDQK comic had that part censored. I personally like the mature part of Chinese webnovel rather than the common shonen anime (for nakama! trope). That is the reason I moved from manga (only read Detective Conan for now) to webnovel.

UnhingedTaboo there were a few big investments on Chinese animation industry when TKA was first released. However, the hyped cooled down pretty fast, as well as the investments. At least there's still a studio that could produce great Chinese animation, the rest were a bit cartoonish though.
