Hello, I was wondering why people don't translate Chinese animation?
This year, there are lot of great shows are coming. The recent popular ones are 'Battle Though The Heavens' and 'Douluo Dalu'. I'm sure that you guys must have heard about these series. Also there another one 'Everlasting Immortal Firmament'
Each of these series are good. China's definitely taking the right approach for Chinese animation but i feel sad. Not many people translate Chinese animation. People can see the traditional culture in animations. I feel very relaxed when i see traditional cultures in animations, even though I am not a Chinese. I'm sure there're many peoples out there who love Chinese animation.

I hope in future there will be a place like this for Chinese animation.
How about you guys? Tell me what you think!

'Everlasting immortal firmament' adaptation is a disgrace to its novel. It does not even follow the story.

TDG and Douluo dalu adaptions are CG 3d type of adaptation. We watch it because we have read the novel. The question is- how many audiences would it attract solely based on animation?

The only chinese animations people would watch would be TKA, cupids chocolate, or those with similar form of animation graphic design. Some times, adaptation may not even follow the storyline of novel.

Water0202020 of course what you're saying is indeed true. But that's because they are not many of them out yet. We don't even have a community. All those who are translating it are doing it for fun or cause they like that series. There are many people out there who likes animation but we don't have a community.

Max255 Besides Kings Avatar! I haven't seen any good CN adaption on the net that is barely watchable!! P.S> all the CN animations have been translated at some point, you just need to look it up!!

P.S. I cringed at the adaptation of TDG!! puked while watching Mao Ni's "Way of Choices" and bleached my eyes EIF, the scope in all those novel seems downgraded, and the music in the background feels like something stock music with no copyrights, that is seen in cheap youtube videos!!
These things on net are disgrace to their novela counterparts...

People will translate animations which have good story. True king avatar got translated fast. It is just that some novels fail to appeal the audiences. Perhaps, new generation of animations with better design will get translated faster

Max255 I watched the anime of 'Bringing nation's husband home / how to steal 55 kisses'. That's quite famous since its novel is really well-known in webnovel. One thing, most people commented that the sound of spoken chinese was cringy. People are used to watch japanese anime. So when it comes to the language, i think that's one of the problem. Cmiiaw.

Indeed, it took me a while to get used to Chinese.

I watched Quan Zhi Fa Shi (Versatile Mage) after Quan Zhi Gao Shou (TKA). Omg did they differ so MUCH 😩.

I regret watching Versatile Mage. So childish I think there should be a caution that it's 'for people who wants to kill their brain cells'. The characters are high schoolers who acted and bicker like kindergarten kids. And so I only watched the first season, can't be bothered to check second season. Why this stupid story being made into animation, I don't know.

Though I would say the animation is not bad, it's quality is acceptable. Unlike some Japanese anime that look wonky in some frames, but okay in other frames.

emptybun Nah!! I never mentioned the spoken chinese in the anime... what I spoke was about the background soundtracks that run in these anime's, they are mostly(if not entirely) same and seemed to be stock soundtracks from public domain music.

profiterole haha!! forgot to mention it, a novel that held the promise of being the next dragon ball became something that even the stupid kids would shit on!!

P.S. sorry to the animators though, this is just criticism don't be offended!!(you will do better next time)

Max255 then I am really fortunate to drop it off at first season πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. To give the animators credit, it's not their fault. It was the author who wrote such cringey story. I checked the novel. It was worse than the anime.

If you are talking about official subtitling of Chinese animation, it has to do with licensing issues with Tencent Video. So until those issues are cleared, they won't be available for now.

One of the reasons for bad chinese animation plot could be the limited choices they have. Most CNs have ruthless murder and sexual cultivationπŸ™„. Animations cannot have both.

Max255 imagine a reverend insanity without gore and multiple novels without harem/sex.
It would not be the same anymore
