I'm looking for new novels.

Must have criteria:
- Weak protagonist who is getting stronger (Like Tales of Demons and Gods, Heavenly Jewel Change, Masked Knight)
- Intelligent character, humor
- Romance (but a real romance see below)
- Magic or martial Arts
- "Old" Setting, => I don't like storys that happens in the actual time or in the future. (too many machines, guns and stuff)

Nice to have:
- completed

Why not harem:
I'm reading Heavenly Jewel Change and I'm currently at 243/848. I really like the story. The protagonist is getting stronger and make some intelligent move to reach his goal and all the fights are interesting with different kinds of skills, weapons and attacks.
But I really dislike that harem setting sometimes. Everywhere are beautiful women and they are all interested in him and yeah... and even if he always say that the woman on his side is the only one... he always look at others and yeah I got really bored with this thing...
I love romance but not harem love but when you are really looking at one woman and not have 2 or 3 or whatever.
For example Masked Knight... The ending was really awful (not only because of that but I think the author rushed in the end and left a lot of open questions.)

    Boendal Stellar Transformation and Coiling Dragon. It was as classic for Chinese webnovel. I Eat Tomatoes often had faithful characters. Both are as staple as Tales of Demons and Gods. I believed both were completed. The romance is not the strong point, but the world building was.

    I Shall Seal the Heaven. There is harem but the member was only 2 (TDG is also has more than 1 love interest). The romance is better, world building was great, and the MC is famous as a signpost of shameless Chinese webnovel. Meng Huo the MC only loved 1, but the other went an extra mile to gain his attention, she loved Meng Huo so much. Weakness, the last arc was too confusing. It didn't have a nice ending in my taste, as a cultivator lots people didn't want immortality? Then why become a cultivator and challenge the heaven? I need to read the wiki to understand the boss. It was good other than that. This is also completed.

    Disclaimer: I am biased toward these novels. Since they were my beginning novels before I was immune to the useless main character killing multiple arrogant young masters on their path of cultivation. My first novel idea was inspired by the first and my fourth novel idea (the second in this site) was inspired by the ISSTH. TDG was good, until there is no more update.

        Inland I couldn't accept that. It is a harem. You must loyal to one only if it is not a harem. :P

        Do not forget one of his clone's reincarnations had toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many wives (descendants)! A 1-chapter harem. Gwahahaha.

            Boendal I feel that my favorite novel would likely meet your criteria, but it also may not... the MC is female and has a possible love triangle going on, but I can see that it won't go harem, and that is Finding My Freedom In Another World

            Also as of yet, my book's MC is not OP but the only downside is he is growing at a slow rate, but that will be greatly accelerated in the near future, but I feel that other than that my book meets your requirements, and that is What in this world, Oh! Wait a minute, It's another world.;,;.

                Thank you :) I will look into it. But what do you mean with the last part? Killing arrogant young masters and first novel idea / fourth novel idea? you lost me in this part.

                I have to agree that TDG was good but with the one update / month it's really too slow...
                And yeah two are not so a problem but when every women in the novel only likes the main character it looks like the world is doomed because nobody will produce children anymore... haha

                QueenCL I'm not so sure about this one... with sci-fi and hacker and stuff like this it doesn't really fit me.

I Eat Tomatoes the chinese author didn't have a good romance for ST, it is more about brotherhood. CD also more to brotherhood, but he travelled with his wife together for some time.

                              My 2nd novel's MC would reincarnate many times. Therefore I couldn't image how many soul mates will appear. Therefore I couldn't suggest them to you. This 2nd is inspired by ISTTH.
                              That is the meaning of the confusing part. I use writing novel to practice English. Sorry for bad English. I need grammarly and lots edit for each chapter.

                                          A Mistaken Marriage Match: Record of Washed Grievances
                                          A female protagonist who is a doctor, so no weak to strong theme. Definitely a romance and no other interests. Set in an ancient Chinese world. There are also a lot of sequels with most of them completely translated.

                                          Dungeon Hunter
                                          A male protagonist with a definite weak to strong theme. Not really any romance, there were one or two people interested but nothing happens. The MC is really focused on his goal. Set in the modern world but tech doesn't really play a big role, focuses more on super powers. MC did accomplish his goal but the ending was rushed due to the author's health.

                                          Semi Datte Tensei Sureba Ryuu Ni Naru
                                          A very short story with a non-human protagonist. Set in a fantasy world.

                                          The Legend of Sun Knight
                                          Male protagonist with a strong to stronger theme. Seems like everyone finds a romantic partner except the MC lol. This focuses more one brotherhood than romance. Set in a fantasy world. Very hilarious start but does get darker halfway through. There is a prequel that is translated and the sequel is currently being translated.

                                            Don't really care about that part as long as there is no harem.

                                                      Boendal then you should check all female martial art novels. There are very few with reverse harem.

                                                      The female MC usually had some fans who wanted to steal her from main male lead. But she often stays faithful. Most ancient setting would usually be a doctor, etc. While the funny one is rare, female world is more bully things.

                                                      All had similar story, super powerful handsome cultivator somehow took interest only and forever to the female lead. He watched and helped her from time to time while MC grew.

                                                          MasterRabbink damn I hate those. Majority of FMC novels rely too much on toxicity. You might actually cough some blood from the severe lack of logic. fmc pops out from new location, not talking or drawing attention then boom! Everyone blames her.
