There aren't that many, and it will help if there is a pop-up. I would rather that kids can't randomly wander into them by accident though... Anyway, at least I've started the thread of thought. Hopefully, something will be done about it.

I know that some kids will just by-pass it, but at least it adds an extra layer of protection for either those who don't want to see it or those who are really too young to safely encounter that kind of material (normally sub-18). I hope most of the readers aren't in that category but I am sure there is a decent sized younger generation here at Webnovel.
Most authors will add a warning in the description, but there's no way to tell just what kind of content there is until you click through. The tag is nice, but not everyone uses or reads the tag and it takes time for a novel to get properly tagged unless the author takes care of it. Again, this is really focused on the original novels. I would really encourage that they not even be listed with the normal novels and instead have their own category (provided that are going to be graphic as described previously). An original "Adult" novel section that is locked unless you have an account with a proper age associated with it or at least a warning on entry.
Just to be clear, I don't even think these type of novels should be posted on Webnovel but they appear to be allowed so far. Hence the desire for restrictions and guidelines.
I am referring to the newer novels that are essentially pornographic in wording with sex scenes and implications in every other chapter if not every chapter. I know there are some sex scenes in the translated novels but they all tend to be fairly vague and the novel quickly moves on.
If "Mature" | "Adult" novels are going to be allowed on webnovel then I would seriously recommend locking them to 18 years or older accounts. The other less effective option would be to add a popup before beginning to read such a novel, warning of graphic sexual content. Personally, I don't think they should be mixed | allowed with the rest of the novels here at webnovel but that's not my choice... However, I think the basic restrictions are really a must if they are here.
I am mostly referring to the "original" novels as I haven't seen any issues with the translated ones yet (there are some out there but they seem to be borderline so far at worst).
I think it got fixed a while ago, forgot to come back and update!

I would also like more discount chapters, as it takes a long time for my favorites to be discounted... But I think it would be best if we were surprised weekly (maybe with some info in advance so we can prepare if needed).
Hmm, well they are aware of the issue. I checked and it's still unfixed as of now, not sure what's going on.

It may be awhile but they should fix it, CK tagged JC in Discord with a link to this post. It's just a matter of when everything gets done. I'll try to check later and post if no one else does when it's fixed, although someone else is liable to post before I notice... Probably JC or CK. As a fellow volunteer error reporter and Immortal Mortal reader, thanks!
Edit: JC replied and although a timeline wasn't mentioned, I would imagine that it should get fixed sometime Monday.

Something probably needs to happen on their side. In the meantime, you can push error reports to the discord channel under the "suggestions_bug_feedback" subchannel. Just ping CK or the novel editor and include the sentence in question along with the chapter number. Suggested corrections are fine but just pointing it out will help as well. I was pointing some of the errors out but stopped on this novel as I report on too many novels at the same time. I am currently operating in burst mode reporting to minimize getting burnt out as a side effect.
If you enjoy this novel I suggest trying to give feedback on the errors; whenever you have the free time and energy will be fine. Thanks!
P.S. they do keep track of error reports so if the numbers of reported errors get too high then they will go into QA mode which reviews the quality of the editing/translating before making changes as needed. Just give the editors a chance to pick up their game with some feedback. It's also worth noting that most of the editors speak English as a 2nd language so don't hesitate to report the stuff that seems obvious as well.
KoraL From your description, I can't tell how it is different from the current system, can you expand on that?

Hmm, I think I just realized a problem with my suggestion... provided that the number of Premium and free releases are equal then that severely limits the number of purchasable chapters... to the total number of chapters released in a week. That would have to be accounted for somehow... Anyway, the theory was to remove some of the negative limitations of purchasing only one or two chapters. So the readers could do more picking and choosing of what to support per week without feeling that they wasted their time. Anything that fulfills that purpose is fine, my original plan probably won't work with some of the novels due to the current numbers being released weekly.
I don't really want to suggest reducing the number of free chapters to make my original plan work...

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I'm having a hard time describing it, but the idea is that a user could purchase a premium chapter (only one, two or more; up to the user) and still get the weeks free releases for that novel without reducing the number by those that they purchased. I could write the code for the implementation easier then I can explain it... but instead of purchasing a single chapter, they are purchasing an advance chapter which pushes them ahead of the free release by one without overlapping.
If a user purchases 2 chapters from a Premium novel then combined with the free release they would receive a total of 9 chapters that could be read that week, (2+7). This would also remove the forced purchase of just a few novel's premium chapters since we could skip around and purchase from different novels without subtracting from the free releases that could be read. It would reduce the number of premium chapters that would be purchased per novel but would probably increase overall purchases.
Currently, purchasers of advance chapters don't receive any free chapters from a novel that they "subscribe" to unless the number of chapters purchased is lower than the number of free releases (I hope that makes sense). If we compare it to the earlier example of someone who bought 2 advance chapters then they currently get a total of 7 chapters for that week, which includes the purchased ones, as the free chapters have to "catch up" to the user.
If someone else can help me describe this better, than please do so. I'm horrible at communication!
Oxy Pretty sure that's 6-14 for daily, I've gotten 7 before and have heard of both 14 and 6 happening to others.

Woolose lol, your words and math don't add up! The words say that you exchanged chapters one for one, the math says you kept your original chapter and gained another.
Not sure what you are trying to get across.
The symptoms all sound like javascript being disabled for some reason, but you already checked that. Maybe try reinstalling chrome or disabling and enabling javascript? Something could have glitched up internally.

APassingMe I don't know if that would drive overall revenue up or down, I don't have any solid idea of what the users would do under either situation.
I feel like my personal spending would probably go up if I could subscribe to multiple novels without wasting free releases.

WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL I've mentioned this elsewhere, my main concern is that free chapters are no longer released to people who "purchase" advance chapters. If we could buy advance chapters without having the free daily release removed from that novel (from the user's perspective) then I think the system is as close to perfect as could be achieved. Price could be argued but that is going to vary based on the number of purchased chapters.

Yakumo It's because there are some people who can't or won't pay and so the minority (I assume) has to make up the difference. It's not a bad system since there are a lot of free releases for those that can't pay. Again there are some disadvantages which I wish would be addressed (the free chapter release not affecting paid subscribers being the main one).
Making it so more people can afford to help would also be helpful but there is a middle-ground somewhere which I personally think would be met by letting paid subscribers still receive the free releases (allowing small chapter purchases for those who can't buy all Premium chapters but still want to support the novel). While also rewarding the support with a chapter.
It still sounds like a javascript issue to me though. If deleting cookies and making sure that javascript is turned on doesn't fix the problem then I'm out of ideas.

If you do and you are still having problems then I would try resetting your browser cookies (might be able to test that by opening an incognito tab first and trying to log in)
