Hi guys, I'm writing a novel named 'The secret job of the loner' with a genre of: slice of life, fantasy, modern life, high school, and action.
It's a story about a person that had reincarnated two times. At the first life, he become a general and a royal guard of a princess and a king, and died to let the princess and the hero to flee from an attack of the demon king and his army. But when he faced the demon king, he incidentally succeed in killing the demon king with his life as a sacrifice, saving the world and at the same time making the existence of the hero become meaningless.
At his second life, he somehow got reincarnated into a lich with the memories of his previous life deeply engraved in his heart. Before he died together with the demon king, the demon king that impressed at him gifted him his powers that should be have no meaning since the both of them are going to die. But the mc is too stuck and obsessed in searching for the kingdom he used to serve, but yet, he couldn't find it.
The mc travel and wait for about 1000 years, searching for the reincarnation of the people of his previous lives, and somehow become a demon king of the era at the same time, giving the world the peace between demons, humans, and other races. But one day a huge meteor about to fall to earth, and he sacrificed his life to destroy the meteor, and once again died.
But once again, he got reincarnated. He got reincarnated in the modern days, and met the people from his first life. Not only his memories, but his powers from both of his previous lives regained as if the powers got engraved in his soul. But at the modern day, magic has disappeared, and it seems that the meteor that got destroyed together with his second life is the cause of it. A certain layer of the earth that had been the source of the world's mana got disappeared, and made mana almost extinct together with the creatures that lives with mana as their lives' fuel.
At the modern day, the mc's parents died and he inherit a restaurant. As a high school boy, he didn't just run the family restaurant, but he secretly run a detective yokai agency that accepts requests for guarding, saving, and attacking. Since mana disappeared from the world, the demos that physical body consists of a dense amount of mana lost their ability to have a phsyical body, and become spirits; yokais. They become what the modern day refers as ghosts. (I believe it's a wonderful theory XD)
And since there are people that make contracts and deals with the yokais to do bad things, the mc that wants to live peacefully at his current life, made the agency to make sure the city where his siblings and him lives remains safe.
The story runs around the life of the highschool problems of the unsociable mc that secretly is the student that has been holding the highest grade at the top-grade academy, tells about the problems the agency facing, and some battles and wars between yokais, demons, and onmyojis/exorcists.
