I just bought a Xiao mi Redmi 4x global version for 140€, and it's already so fast, and has enough space that I don't know what to do with it, and the biggest battery I've ever owned on a phone.
1000$ for a phone, is something I would personally never buy, just seems too wasteful, when there are cheaper alternatives for the same specs, or lower specs for a fraction of the price (like mine).
This is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of apple, if this Iphone X doesn't tank in 2 or 3 years you'll have to pay 2k$ for their flagship model. As soon as they think they can get away with something they usually do it, and get away with it too!
Tl;dr: I have an engineer soul, I like to see the pros and cons, and the ratio between quality and price is God to me.
And in that equation Iphone almost always comes last for me.
