I just bought a Xiao mi Redmi 4x global version for 140€, and it's already so fast, and has enough space that I don't know what to do with it, and the biggest battery I've ever owned on a phone.
1000$ for a phone, is something I would personally never buy, just seems too wasteful, when there are cheaper alternatives for the same specs, or lower specs for a fraction of the price (like mine).
This is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of apple, if this Iphone X doesn't tank in 2 or 3 years you'll have to pay 2k$ for their flagship model. As soon as they think they can get away with something they usually do it, and get away with it too!
Tl;dr: I have an engineer soul, I like to see the pros and cons, and the ratio between quality and price is God to me.
And in that equation Iphone almost always comes last for me.

If you want to buy a phone with a ridiculous screen to body ratio I recommend checking out the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

Kingfisher I have to admit that Xiaomi has such a great spec with an affordable price. I'm using Xiaomi Mi Max. The screen was wide. A good phone for someone who liked to read. I got it a year ago from my big sis.
Not worth the price imo.
