  • Sorry of this has been mentioned before but the current SS system is really dumb. Paying for individual chapters for each novel makes no sense, and is in no way economically sustainable for people who have dozens+ novels in their library. The type of subscription method used for streaming services such as Netflix or Hulu makes the most sense for Qidian. Imagine if Netflix charged you per episode? Or if Apple Music or Spotify made you pay per song you downloaded? People would riot lol. Not only that, unlike a TV show where each episode is about 20 minutes long and is released at most weekly, the chapters here take at most a couple of minutes to read and are released daily. I don't want to encourage piracy, but honestly I can't even blame them just because this whole SS system is ridiculous. We don't even know what novels will end up premium, and end up getting invested after 100+ chapters. I would happily pay a monthly subscription of 10-15 dollars to get access to all the novels on site, just like I do for my Netflix and Apple Music subscriptions.
