  • So I've read I have a Mansion in the Post-apocalyptic World for literally years and the series is finally reaching the end of it's run but right now it's stuck on the last 20 chapters (aka the privileged ones). There obviously aren't going to be any more chapters as the series ends in those 20 chapters so I'm wondering when Privilege falls off.

    • Veronica8 Its actually 81 per chapter. Privilege only gives you the ability to buy the chapters, it doesn't actually unlock them and with privileged chapters you can't use fast pass.

      • MikruZero I won't buy it? I never said the Author was forcing me to buy it, just that the price is significantly higher than it should be. You're right that it's like watching your favorite movie 25 days early, except instead of your favorite movie it's your top 3 favorite movies because you could instead buy 3 movies for the same price.

If you can actually go out and buy an actual novel for the price you're charging to access but then still pay for 25 chapters, then that's too much IMO. Also, I don't give a shit if you think I'm complaining.

        • The Author is charging 1899 coins for the to tier of 25 chapters for privilege access which feels insanely high to me. Even being able to purchase double coins that's about $19 USD. For chapters you still have to pay for once you gain access through privilege.

          For me that's too much.

          • So this is getting pretty fucking annoying. I started getting these notifications on my phone’s lock screen advertising random novels I’ve never heard of.

I actually like getting updates about when the novels I’m reading get new chapters so I’ve been trying to figure out which setting does this. Well last night I just decided to turn them all off within the app, all the tabs under notifications are turned off but lo and behold I get another freaking ad this morning.

I’m removint notification permissions for this app. If I can’t decide what content I want to see as a notification, I’m not seeing ANY of it.

            • xWangan Because it's so hard to set automatic checks that limit such behavior?

              • Limit the number of series that can be uploaded by the same account in a time period
              • If the upload's content matches a certain percentage of another require moderator approval before the submission is visible to the public
              • If a series receives so many reports remove it and require a moderator to manually review it.

All they need to do is look at pretty much any other forum and look at the guidelines they enforce.

            • CKtalon This is false, I literally just used my friends phone, different phone not on the same network and it still returns the error “this account has been signed”

              • ThrustThunder more than 2 days later Apparently not. Literally don't know how this is flying under the radar unless Qudian has literally zero moderators.

                • Right now I pay $11 for Netflix and $12 for Hulu no commercials. At $25 this website's premium membership is more than both of those COMBINED, how can you justify charging so much?

                • Ierrech It would make the metric actually represent the number of chapters coming out each week for a given novel rather than having a number inflated by releases dropped 3 weeks prior.

For example, right now Super Gene says it releases 21 chapters per week which should mean that exactly one week ago from this moment there should be roughly 21 chapters released right? Well there were only 14. In fact in the past 2 weeks there have been 28 chapters released, exactly the amount scheduled but far below the 41 you'd expect when looking at the "chapters/week" number on the front screen of a novel.

I'm not saying anyone needs to release more than they're scheduled to or that I dislike mass releases but I'm saying that the chapters released per week is essentially useless as most of the time it seems to be off if you actually count on a week by week basis.

                  • As it is right now the “chapters released per week” count on the front page of every novel is the average amount released in the last 30 days. This feels a little disingenuous as most novels seem to game the system by releasing their scheduled chapters for 29 days and then a few extra on one day to push up their numbers.

I mean the whole point of this measurement is for prospective readers to know roughly how often the novel gets updated right? That doesn’t actually work when you’re allowed to inflate your weekly numbers by releasing more novels on a single day in a 30 day period.

They can be used but right now the only way I personally know how is through their app. Under your profile in addition to the "Get Spiritstones" button you have on the website there's an "Earn Spiritstones" button. Under that you can spend energy stones to vote (earns you 5 spirit stones) and watch a short commercial (random amount like checking in) in addition to checking in.

                      • TargetPractice1 Pretty sure it was never 18 a week but you're right, they have slowed down so now you can ONLY read 7 chapters a week for free, boo freaking hoo. You realize you're freaking whining about a service that they're doing for free right? From the sound of your comments you're not even supporting the site by buying spirit stones, you're freaking leaching content and then whining that you're not getting more for free.

                        • Lomacris I knew they were still releasing at least every day because I keep getting novel updates about it but I don't pay attention to the number because I spend spirit stones to read ahead.

QI implements premium system, limiting the number of free chapters and "forcing" addicted users to pay money for gratification.

That's actually total bull. I read Release that Witch and before they had the premium program I was subscribed on Novel Updates. I'm still subscribed on novel updates but now that only updates when the series releases behind the free update and since Novel Updates dates releases you can see with 100% definitive proof that they never slowed down the free release of Release that Witch.

I'm all for throwing down a bad review when it's deserved but honestly you seem to not know wtf you're talking about.

                            • Honestly not sure why you’re so salty. The only chapters that require spirit stones are the most recent ones. I just checked, you can read over 725 chapters of this series FOR FREE. Also if you’ve been reading since the beginning of their pickup from volare they haven’t changed their pace with the free releases, one day they added a premium program to the series and dropped like 30 chapters in one day ON TOP of that weeks normal releases.

Your post makes you seem super entitled, you don’t have a right to read these novels, unless you’ve ever even bought any spirit stones you’ve never even supported the translator.
