It has enough words (probably more words than most completed novels lol) and its power fluctuates each week. But I think between the power for originals, the lowest being higher in power lately, and I didn't know the after 30 days thing. So thank you for helping me understand.

Actually getting mine turned into a Light Novel but with the new promotion thread, it pretty much ensures my story is passed by, nobody is going to thoroughly search through 150+ posts a month in my opinion people normally just skip the middle section so relying on the forum to try to get it out there isn't really an option anymore. I'm trying the discord but my hopes aren't high there since I see a very slow rate at authors getting access to the full discord. And finally as we all know, A majority of the time the translated novels from qidan gets the power boosts, features and top ranks each week.

So thank you again because with all that I was just wondering about a few things and was curious to what happened in ranks. Also it helps me be certain if webnovel was just a good starting platform and I should start looking for other sites. Outside of power, the forums seemed like the best place to try to get it out there but not anymore for myself in my own opinion.

Maybe I missed it? Maybe I did something? Not sure but I was curious about my novel's rankings. Problem is that for a few weeks now I've noticed my novel "A Devil's Sins" no longer shows up no matter what search filter is used. My question is does this happen normally once a certain amount of views are gained? Or is it based on the content of the novel? I once got the notification it would be a featured original at one point but I personally never saw it and soon after is when I noticed it wasn't showing up in any ranking anymore so i'm just curiously wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what could have happened since it slowed down the rate my novel was advancing (in terms of views anyways). I thought if something were being done with it by the site it would be best to wait and see, but again,I'm not a pro at everything webnovel so I might have just been missing something important.

Oh! But I've noticed the "You may also like" selection appear now. So maybe that's a hint towards something?

(With my novel reaching a great point, I'm starting it's next phase of the even bigger project involving the story. Simply put i'm asking the community for honest reviews & constructive criticism to fine tune my writing for my story's big project. I'll start by saying much appreciated and i'm grateful for your wisdom
1. Thanks for pointing that out. that paragraph was more for a little setting building, specifically for the capital. In case someone wanted to skip the 0 chapter (Aux Chapter) for info on the world itself so to answer your question, none of the above lol. Just info so there can be things explained that wouldn't have to be later. I think I may over do it on tidbits of info that help connect some dots later. Such as the "oddity", it later goes into exactly why that isn't odd to anyone. This story is kinda like an tells two types of stories, the story itself and on the other side social issues and differing perspectives built by financial/social standing with the intention of self-reflection. But given the feedback so i'll work on it.

5. Difference in personalities plus to give a feel for how Ian is a little playfully stubborn? If there's many rumors, he would question which specifically she spoke of but not that directly or seen as he's reluctant to acknowledge or entertain it while Dan knows what he's doing intently to avoid answering seriously. The reader may know there's demons from the prologue but its making it evident the characters do not or at the least not sure. I can see your point with the lack of body language though. I can add some to make some of those breaks between dialogues Also another note taken, i'm no specialist on writing but I honestly wasn't aware periods were required in quotations. I thought that's what the end quote signified. I learn new things each day.

I feel like I should add (not for you two since i'm sure you can tell) these aren't counter-arguments against the review. It's a roast thread, I know what i'm asking for here lol. Its a story for such questions to be asked and figured out along with the characters. It might really be a shock but those 5000 words is the chapter broke into half. ANYWAYS thanks again and now I can go fix some things. I'm honestly happy with the roast/review. In my opinion it was pretty damn positive.

Ah thanks. Well the original intent for it was a script for a manga, but my artist quit on me half way in and ran with the money. So it's actually in pursuit of being a LN or just some type of visual novel (basically something less costly on my end), so its also easy to keep track of whose saying what. this site i just edited it for constructive criticism just like this because I may have to do something else with it, just keeping it adaptable or maybe I chose the wrong platform for it since the original intent possibly can't transfer well as a novel

And you're so right, since I have a usb copy of my story so this will help me find other things I need to fix as well So if there is anything else you would like to point out i'd greatly appreciate it o.o

Edit: Also I had thought it would help with dialogue. Since there's a lot of conversation I THOUGHT it was a good idea lol. Especially to cut down on "He said" "She said" popping up every consistently through their lengthy conversations.

To keep it short or as short as possible, this thread is simply me asking all an any to check out and review my novel A Devil's Sins. praise, constructive criticism, and just plain criticism are all welcome. With more reviews I want to see what some of my better and no so great methods of writing are so I can honestly improve my material. I will note for you all my chapters are longer than most novel chapters on here since my goal isn't to rack up 1000+ chapters, instead i like to give a good amount of material per chapter.
