Filler chapters is what kills it for me.
It might work in the Chinese market but we're not accustomed to paying for teasing.
Plenty of pirate web novel sites out there so Qidian should try to avoid pushing away customers with limited budgets.
I was wondering why I suddenly lost a 100 SS.
I really hope that Qidian pays their authors and translators well after all the money they scrounge from us poor readers.
It's their business in the end but I'm not sure their current strategy is optmized for the highest revenue possible.
Most readers here are destitute students but I'm sure they could scrape together $5 a week for their daily crack.
Pretty sure you're only getting a couple hundred users actually paying for these SS.
Most just save up the free stones.
Would Qidian own the novels?
Could get a visa within a couple days or a week in London. Count me in as well.

Would pay if someone actually read them out and provided a high fidelity playlist.
Machine speech is acceptable but takes some of the joy out of it.
How much would you pay for a service like that?
Ether per chapter or an unlimited access subscription per novel.
Not touching the app until they stop requesting all those unnecessary permissions and are allowed back in the Play store.
