Well on the discord we have an Original Novels section where quite a few of us Authors hang out.
We pester, promote and critique there.

It was said on Discord that Popularity was based off of total views.
I've done a bit of both and for me writing a story is easier. With translating it became more of a job and really took the enjoyment out of the story for me.
And if you don't enjoy what you do then it gets a lot harder I think

One of my personal favorite books from when I was a child is called Redwall. Which had the MC as a Mouse in a Medieval setting, that was released in the 80's. Definitely a good read if that is the story you are wanting to go with.
