No need for hacking for just that, it's pretty simple you just have to know where to look and what to search in the informations provided (don't believe what you see on TV where "hackers" does miracles while hitting the same few keys over and over again on their keyboard while there is not even a mouse on their desk and their screen wires aren't connected anywhere ;o) )

I traced back some of the big agregator websites with similar design and coding, and all of them are supposed to be based in asia or oceania, close to three fourths of them were seemingly based in China and close or border touching countries with remarkable similarities in some owner's info (similar patern of probably fake infos, etc...).
I guess even full time pirate server farms are starting to get interrested in webnovels translation piracy, (chinese one are usually especially virulents on every type of web-based business, thaï and indonesian seems here too but no sign of russians or africans yet tho), so a reddit forum is quite cute compared to that ;o)
Guess sooner or later they will have to make choices as if they continue to do those one sided policy changes, making their website more unpractical than agregators while being progressively more and more expensive with this kind of ludicrous PR disregard they will kill their business by themself, even if they don't have that much legal competitors around.
Seeing how much the consumer cost components has been defined here (price of SS and chapter to SS ratio) compared to their original CN market (not far from 1000% highter), it seems they are going for a "static big whale" strategy (few consumers that pay a lot and are addicted enough to the product that they won't go seek the product or an equivalent elsewhere) unfortunately the english translated WN market is not limited to rich segments in wealthy countries, as the web is quite more encompassing than that and a lot of people in lower revenue countries read english quite well, so they are cutting themself from a quite huge potential consumer base with a smaller purse...

You forget the third type of thinking :
They don't care, whatever they does at least enough people will still pay to read another filler chapter (capitalist young master thinking).

          • Either it is a bug, and one of the biggest publishing company in China doesn't care enough about its new international branch to have at least someone doing basic monitoring on the weekends or they are roleplaying the usual cliche character that can be found on most xia novels : an arrogant young master that is greedily extorting spirit stones while shamelessly slapping the face of everyone, not even being bothered about the fact that it make him look like a lazily written obnoxious second string villain, ruining any trust that all the little hands working for his sect/merchant family had tried to build...

            • You can add Release that witch and It's not easy to be a man after crossing to the future to that list...
I think everybody could add novels to this list as it seem some sort of global thingy...
I hope this isn't a sneaky, brutal greedy policy change taking place behind the scene and it's just a temporary issue...
