Demonic_Chef no there is not, unless negotiations work out. The mother site in China found out that this site is doing things differently than what they are doing over there and it is causing the authors to be upset. Only the first 100 chapters of any premium book is supposed to be free then its subscription after words to keep reading it. We dont do this over here and China found out and is putting a stop to it. This site is trying to negotiate to not have it that way but I dont think they will be successful.

      If it continues like this, I'll drop Qidian altogether as well as well and we'll be back to try to use backwater channels to find our chapters and to hell with copyright infringement.
      On top of that, China is one of the place where copyright infringement is the most rampant in the world, it's kinda funny that they are the ones complaining about it for once.

      It feels like the majors a few years back clinging to their old business model that no one wanted, only selling cd when everyone wanted mp3 and complaining that everyone was downloading music.

      Webnovels are nice but it's like junk food, it taste nice but you know it's not the best quality (usually), while I don't mind watching (reasonably long adds) for these novels I will never ever ever pay the price they are asking for for junk food novels.

      It was all forgotten the time where Qidian promised everyone that they will implement a free business model with adds and whatnot.
      I guess honor is just a concept used in the novels.

        It's all about the pricing for me. While the current SS prices are "bearable" to the richer parts of the world, here in the "middle class" country like Poland it's really expensive. If the pricing was on par with chinesse version of the site ( i think the guy with the fluffy white dog avatar concluded it was A LOT cheaper) i would fork out some money on my favourite novels. Right now, it's too expensive.

        And the filler... I remember a chapter of A Will Eternal where MC literally took 3 steps... Rest was reactions... How can i pay for that?

          Demonic_Chef what is going to happen to the novels is what has happened to MMORPG: Rebirth of The Legendary Guardian. It was completely unlocked at one point and then they locked every chapter past 100. I was on chapter 747 when it got locked. I had about 100 chapters left to finish it. Now I won't be able to finish. Pretty soon all the premiums will revert back to being locked after chapter 100 even if you have unlocked chapters with SS. Its unfortunate but the alternative is a potential lawsuit and site being shutdown.

              ano81 oh im glad i saw this. I just thought it was that i just couldnt read it unless i used some ss to unlock. I was wondering why a lot of chapters was locked and that daily unlock was gone. Ive spent a lot of ss just to read the next chapter. Thanks for the info

                In addition to my comment above i started noticing that daily unlock was gone after i was on 400 chapters of trial mairage need to work hard and i had ro use ss. And the ss expired quickly. And this book has more than 1000 chapters and i only have 159 ss and i dont know how to get more ss for free unless i pay to get ss. And it is expensive to buy them for a 3rd world country like philippines. I found this website theu fb when the synopsis of this trial mairage need to work hard was placed as an ad. I fot hooked into it thats why i downloaded the app cause its free and now it seems like its going to be gone now and i have to pay lots of ss just to read a few updated chapters. Too bad i was enjoying it. I hope they bring back daily unlock
