It feels like the majors a few years back clinging to their old business model that no one wanted, only selling cd when everyone wanted mp3 and complaining that everyone was downloading music.
Webnovels are nice but it's like junk food, it taste nice but you know it's not the best quality (usually), while I don't mind watching (reasonably long adds) for these novels I will never ever ever pay the price they are asking for for junk food novels.
It was all forgotten the time where Qidian promised everyone that they will implement a free business model with adds and whatnot.
I guess honor is just a concept used in the novels.
