lol QI carefully choose which one to lock........... they don't want to loose many readers of RTW which has a total of 76 million views............... imagine they lock the previous free chapters.............. then you want to read RTW again........... how much will you spend just to open those free chapter...........from chapter 100-835 so you have 735 free chapters.......... a chapter cost around 7-15 SS so you need 5145-11025 ss you want to read the previous chapter......... so you will spend $100-$200 just to read the previous free chapter............. That's stupid........... it's like you get a free book from a bookstore............ then after a year or months the bookstore ask for a money for the book that they gave you free.................. see how shameless it is?
Why is webnovel locking up previously free chapters?
Mahesvara007 I've had chats with CKTALON and he didn't lock mine but he tried to bs me about ad revenues etc last year its a pity I do IT and host sites plus deal with ad companies etc pointing out his numbers were bs and never replied back same with webnovel, so I know what your saying ... but it's been the same from qi since the huge claims started 3 yrs plus now on novelupdates in their huge mega post's also from GGP at GT when he sold everyone out before and after selling GT to QI etc

Well this is what I do if I see a good novel on nu I go to the site it links to and if it leads here I read the free ones then go and Google to find the rest. Actual fact most of the novels I seen where translated elsewhere first and got put up here some people where pissed about it as well. Well my recommendation is read the free stuff then find the rest online as it's free elsewhere stuff like that is everywhere from manga to anime to TV series to adult films. Rant over hope that the novels everyone reads they can find and continue
but if you can you should at least buy a few stones I always do it via PayPal and get a day when the exchange is better as you can save 10-20% from the fix fee's over using the app and stores

Pizz Before I left on a 3 month reading hiatus, I was using PC. I had a few hundred stones (I think it was 200+) accumulated from check ins alone because all of the novels I was following at the time were free to read. After I came back, well, obviously, all my spirit stones earned through check ins had already expired, and nearly all the novels I followed had gone premium. I now use the app, so yes, I get spirit stones through watching one ad a day.
And I know my profile says I joined 8 days ago, but that was when I first accessed the forums. I really had been signing in to read stories for several months. Case and point, I left a comment on chapter 754 of mmorpg: rebirth of the legendary guardian around 5 months ago.
PoolSide noone gives a damn that much. Why bother deleting? Just ignore it.
I don't think its worth to buy translated chapters because low quality or even wrong translation. (just like my post)

pokeperson1000 most likely you lost the stones due to the use by date change, and then your account got screwed up when they had the server crash/screw up when they re-added the back up , i feel for you as the only way it to spam email them to fix it , but your have more hope in seeing Mt . Tai being blind at the same time

I've seen over a half-dozen novels they have done this with. They fit the criteria that the previous chapters read were 'unlocked' by ad or SS. I guess they retroactively decided that these 'unlocks' didn't apply to the premium method on unlocking chapters.
They are even doing it to novels which are free readable on other sites...
and btw is anyone else somehow not gaining SS without wasting them ? Oo
Pizz No, my spirit stones just expired, is all. That much I was expecting. The premium wall on most of the novels I followed though? I hadn't quite seen that one coming.
