I know that there are some people against having spirit stones be tied to real currency, but I'd really like to be able to buy spirit stones, or be able to have a membership or something like youtube red that lets me skip the ads on chapters. Right now I go through 100 spirit stones in a day and a half, and despite inviting quite a few friends, it's not sustainable. I hate the ads and I don't like to load them when I'm on mobile data, so being able to skip them would be really nice.

The current system is nice, but an additional way for people who have money but don't want to waste time with ads would be really appreciated.

    Brother have you heard of Adbloackers on PC.
    And Opera on Android?? There are no ads in that case if you use them(just for reading as the browser got night mode and lots of other things).

    As for using up 100 spirit stones a day, this seems a bit fake I would say, this is not possible at all and would define that you sir/mam don't have a life. Now qidian don't have that much bonus chapters release in a single day as it would mean you are updated to atleast 25 novels that have bonus chapters( as some novels don't even have any bonus chapters) and in the case you picked up only the ones that are using the bonus chapter technique, then it would mean you sure are a d*mb@ss .

      UnhingedTaboo It is quite possible to spend that much in a day. I'm currently following 12 stories and so if they update I would have to spend 48 SS to unlock. Some stories release twice a day so that can rise. I'm expecting OP to follow around 20+ stories with some of them having double chapters.

          Right now I have bout 400 stones. Maybe QI can implement an exchange system between readers for example we can exchange our votes for stones or other perks they can give. Truthfully I would not like the stones to be tied to money as I am a poor student but as long as no paywall goes up for chapters I would be okay. Oh and QI can also give out stones for people who give decent ideas for features in the forums or give stones for helping to spot mistakes(if this is already a feature im sorry)

            UnhingedTaboo Maybe 100 every day and a half isn't completely accurate unless everything updates at once, but at least it's 100 every 3 days. Still way too often. I like to read the chapters right as they come out so that I get a nice few updates every day, so that's why it's kind of frustrating. I probably should let them build up though.

            Calm_Spirit That would be nice too! I can understand being a broke student, and a paywall would suck. I hope they keep the current system, but I wouldn't mind spending a couple of dollars now and then to buy a bunch of spirit stones to skip ads when I'm not at home.

                  But yea, I would agree on those buying SS.. But please dear God and Goddess above, don't drain us on those SS costs when they DID put it. Like mostly those who read this and use this is a student and student equals broke as the books and classes is expensive, and it does not even count as for the rent, car or even bills.. sure we got a roommate and a job, but mostly we got paid a minimum wages and that shit it sucks.

                    QianTian This is pure speculation but if they do introduce a paid system, I believe it will copy the CN qidian model, purchasable but also earnable by doing simple things [like daily log-in and stuff].

                      Not everyone is in that situation. I've got a stable job and some money to spare for entertainment. I'd love to be able to spend a bit of money on more chapters myself. Just like other forms of entertainment like movies or games I'd be willing to pay for a bit of a time waster. I don't know why everyone has to be dragged down just because some can't afford a couple bucks for an enjoyable hobby.

                          shelwyn I know, but some of us can't.. And I am sure I wouldn't pay 10SS for a whopping $5, And true, I will probably enjoy this before they put a paywall.

                              I only spend around 12 SS a day? am I just lucky that most of the novels i follow doesn't even have bonus chapters?

                                Calm_Spirit You do know that 8 stones will disappear daily after 72 days right? So, basically use it while you can :)

                                    This is a really stupid question lol. Instead of buying spirit stones, they could just allow the readers to pay certain amount of money per month for unlimited viewing without the ads.
                                    Those who don't want ads can use this feature, and those who don't have money can simply use the spirit stones ( a really cringy term) or view the ads.

                                      I would be cool with being able to buy spirit stones, as long as they keep the system of daily check in giving you spirit stones and friend thing. Also the voting where you get five spirit stones from that. So you don't have to buy them if you don't want but you'll still be able to get spirit stones. For me, I purposely restrict my consumption to only a few chapters a day (the ones that need the stones), the rest I either find a new novel to read, reread old chapters, or read new chapters from novels that don't require spirit stones and wait for the chapters of novels that do require the stones to build up. This way I can save my spirit stones and continue piling them up :D Because I'm a hoarder >-> After a couple of days of piling them up, I'm currently at 284 stones hehe :3 not actually that much but hey, give it some time and it'll naturally grow bigger

                                        Right now I have got 1414 spirit stones.
                                        I don't use any of them cause the ads help the author/translators/editors to be paid (I think).
                                        I keep them for the future if any new feature will appear.
                                        If we could give them, I will do it ! ;-)
