Tugster It's because this is Qidian that I say that they should add other genres as well. There are tons of novels spanning many genres on Chinese site. Here most of the ones are either Xuanhuan or Xianxia. The number of others are way too small.

    thegreatestleg I think it is WW bread & butter so Qidian should do something different since they have countless novels to work on . Just my thoughts :)

        I feel like I just wouldn't read any of those infinity novels, just like I don't read those "romance" novels because they somehow all resemble fanfiction, of a guy or girls fangirling cliche story put on replay to make you think its funny because its a cliche type thing....instead of it being funny to me it just reads like some fan of some novel or romantic trope wrote it.

        Not saying cultivation novels don't have cliches there are some pretty bad ones out there but most times it doesn't read like fanfiction, just unoriginal concept. Maybe I will see a synopsis that doesn't present like that for one of those novels, but romance and infinity novels right now don't make the cut for me. Some fluff novels would be nice though, right now I only have strange life of a cat and gourmet food supplier and one of them doesn't have a very steady release.

        thegreatestleg But after reading about 10 cultivation novels it feels like everything is the same... Especially those medieval world x cultivation novels. Mostly there is nothing new in them...

          In my opinion I am not bored of cultivation novels. It's just that nearly every cultivation novel doesn't offer something new.

          It's like changing the names and starting point of the novel.
          They should just put something new in the cultivation novel. Like a better setting.

          It's not the cultivation that bored me but the world settings and so.

            Xianxia and xuanhuan are two of the best genres you can find in chinese webnovel.

              Qidian has a huge amount of potential and in the not so far future will probably start to add more genre's of novels later on💖🔥💖🔥🍹🍹

                Armand_Targaryen The novel with which I entered the Original Writer Competition here at Qidian was of that genre.
                It was mostly Horror with a bit Love in the Magic World Setting.

                But the Horror part only started in the last 2 chapters so maybe they don't see it as a horror-novel currently.

                  Coz while there are many Infinity genre in Qidian, there are only a few good ones (Ultimate evolution, Ace evolution and Thriller paradise) and they were mostly already translated.

                  NineNeatherBird Then Er Gen's works are something you should pick up, if you haven't already. Well, they're also dog eat dog like the rest but the setting is different from the others.

                      Tomz No one's denying that. It's just that there's not much variety in them.

                          I feel that the site has way too many game element related novels. I actually feel it lacks quality 'Xianxia' novels like 'Heaven's Shadow', 'ISSTH', etc. Even the ones on the queue don't inspire confidence.

                          Post any novel, if you don't like a specific kind don't read it! Hot dayum cant demand something of others cause you don't want it
