What is your collection to views ratio?
Well, I've got ~ 1:150 on LFPW, so it's not too bad, but at the same time it's a new novel and has only 15k views, so I imagine it will go down a lot in the future...

I don't get how it is possible. You still have regularly new reviews and some power stones. 143 power stones shouldn't get you a ranking so low.
Even the worst stories should have a few collections each days if the visibility is good enough.
Ugh.. I'm seriously lacking collections. 751 for about 200k views. Let's see with the featuring next week if it gets better.

And the top stories all have thousands of power stones, so I am nothing compared to them.

I mean, some readers never remove webnovels from their library, whether they liked it or not.
If you repeat to every reader of yours how awful you and your story are, it's like unpromoting yourself.
Whatever you write, you should at the very least be your first fan and defend the good points of your novel. Writing 890k words needs some real commitment as bad as you think it is. Some great authors can't do as much.
Remove all your negatives author notes and fix what should really be fixed, or start anew. But 5 collections with 2M views, there's definitely an issue.

Tomoyuki 2 million views and almost 900 thousand words is a lot of work, it's cool! For what period of time? Great performance!
In just 1 year, 1 month, I was able to write only 4 complete stories, 1 drop, 701,000 views, a total of 332 collections, 463,100 words, 516 chapters. And you are so cool! Not every writer can write so many words. And before a bad comment, how many collections were there?

Arkinslize The issue is definitely with me, and there are no good points of my novel. There are only bad points. And I don't mind unpromoting myself - I honestly hope people stop reading my story. Everyday I get a new comment telling me how they hate the story, how they hate the protagonist, telling me to stop writing, telling me to delete the story, or "TRASH STORY. DROPPED." Those are the only comments I get. There is nothing positive about the feedback I receive, and my story must be really horrible if not even a single person has anything good to say about it in the comments.
Gourmet_DAO I posted this story in...June or May last year, I think, so maybe about 10 months now. There were zero collections. I don't think it ever went higher than 5. Nobody likes my story. Most readers say that I'm the worst writer on the site and that I'm an embarassment to Webnovel (Ariq is one good example), and demand that I delete my story and tell me to gtfo because I really am that bad.
I think I will follow the readers' advice, delete the story and quit writing for good. The very existence of my attempt to write a story has offended thousands of readers, and it's best if I just disappear forever.

Tomoyuki Of course, the writer depends on the reader. But sometimes the reader is biased. You have 5 readers who read you. You are a great fellow, could write 900 thousand words in 10 months! This is a very good performance! 2 million views! for 10 months, it's really cool!
Do not stop writing! You can write for your reader! You can write a new novel! You can take a new nickname if you are afraid of bullying. But quit writing is not necessary!

Not matter if you or others think that your novel is bad, there are still many other even worse novels that still have more reasonable stats than these which make no sense to me. So I don’t understand how that’s possible.... Regardless, if you like writing the story, then keep going and ignore the haters. Give yourself more credit. I think you’re pretty awesome, and almost 2 million and 1 million words are huge achievements.
Tomoyuki Preferences are subjective. If a mass likes something, it doesn't mean every one will like it. Then, there wouldn't be any uniqueness, making the world a boring place. So, your story probably found its way to a unsuitable audience, that were unable to appreciate the hours of work that has to be put in writing. Just seamlessly hating on it, which shouldn't discourage you. Your are doing much better than them who were unappreciative of your works. At least, you have something original than their banal hatred.
Personally, I write for fun, being uncaring to both my good/bad reviews or collections/views.
So yeah, don't let it get to you and keep on honing your skill as an author. Find a better purpose too, for why you write. I already said mine.
I think you should be happy with your word count. That's extremely impressive to accomplish and you definitely should keep going until you reach a million. I'll take a look at it and collect it some time soon.

Pretty realistic since I only have two collections and 17 chapters to date. The story is new to webnovel, but not for everywhere else. Oddly a lot more views than expected for a new release here. Yet the story hasn't been showing up on scrapper sites. Weird.
Book one of this story is completed at 95K worth of words. Likely be about 100 chapters for scheduled release.
I'm revising it to be a re-released light novel paperback and ebook in May/June. Like SKC, I intend to continue this series to the end here. I've planned 7 x books for this one. Like SKC, wonder if I can last the distance.

I want to at least have 20 x paperbacks and maybe 100 x ebooks of various sizes self published to virtual stores. Tomoyuki I always see you in the comments talking about your story and how bad is it and people saying you bad things about it.I dont understand why you always care about them always try to talk about it.I saw your talking with other people about the different things I am sure you are not "lame" person , but I dont get why do you care about people thoughts about your novel.Just do your thing and write , and not look back , It is not that hard for you I think ?
