N0xiety I dont care about any signal, not everyone you disagree with you is a social justice warrior. I just dont want to have Webnovel become a case of "do I want to have anyone glancing over my shoulder see nude men/women." I dont care if the book itself has pornographic content, granted atleast one I skimmed before this post literally had a minor having sex with someone. I just wish I didnt have to deal with those off-chances where I have to explain to someone that I am not reading smut in my workplace/school. It also only takes one report for some official to ban it on their network and the whole place suffers. I just wish they would follow their own TOS and properly moderate their own content

If they followed their own TOS properly then high ranking novels like Dual Cultivation wouldn't exist. That TOS is there for them to have legal superiority over any situation that may come their way. Doesn't mean they have to follow it. I'm sure you are aware of that too anyways...

This is such a vague statement, and for good reason. It even says 'inappropriate' haha. Inappropriate according to who? Hateful according to who? Embarrassing according to who? 'Reasonable Person'? Who is that person? You get the gist. If Webnovel says it is inappropriate, then it is. Simple as that.
As a 'reasonable person' i find most of those covers acceptable, while you as another 'reasonable person' don't. So who is more reasonable? You or me? Who decides that in the end? Webnovel is the most 'reasonable' ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Funny. r18 novels (cover also matter) have hard time in china, but still allowed here.
Can't believe webnovel cut out the love scene from "when a snail falls in love" that was beautifully written, not lewd or explicit in any way then allow books such as "happy peach" to exist here

But on other sites, I am seeing an option for users [obviously] they go to profile, tick whether they want 18+ content to show for them when they are browsing the site or not.
This simply make sure whoever does not want to see 18+ content wont even see the book covers, neither will he/she be aware of their existence on the site.
It would be a total insult to everyone else's preference if someone decides what I can read/see or not just cuase they would be embarrass in public.
