Reinesse Royal Road?

Does anything but litrpg with horribly OP (male) MC get any readers there?

Maybe. I just haven't seen any such trends since I joined RR back in 2015.

I'll agree on the quality as long as you comb through a lot of junk. On average much better English compared to Webnovel, but I still have to add half a star to my reviews to balance out the substandard requirements concerning grammar. Sure, I'm adding a full star here, so, well :D

Reinesse thank you. I'll continue my work there and see how it goes. Cheers

StenDuring I started RR but found the interface clunky that's why I stopped it. I'm active on Wattpad, but their rank and tag system is broken at the moment, so discovery is not good.

Veronica8 Their interface is much better now. Among others you can no longer screw up your typesetting when you cut and paste from the WP of your choice.

I'm back reviewing at RR again. The quality is distinctly better compared to two years ago, and conversely publishing schedules are more realistic with the really good stories maybe dumping a chapter a week, if even that often. So we're talking novels rather than webnovels, and as I definitely write a webnovel I happily went here where speed of uploads trumphs quality of writing ;)

I only use Wattpad due to the feature you get a timestamp and are able to associate your writing with an 'all rights reserved' CR-note. I get exactly ONE read per chapter there, which is me uploading said chapter :D

Haha. I have the same experience.

StenDuring I'll give them ago again. I probably just have to be a bit more patient :smile_cat:

Honestly I don't believe this site is made for very detailed psychologically deep novels. This site is made particularly for the shonen loving minority of readers. This site is very unique in the way that you don't need to be well learnt or spoken to enjoy reading its novels (I'm not calling anybody stupid). Most of this sites readers come to this site because they've run out of Manga to read or anime to watch ( or at least that's how I got here). I think your novels are just too complicated to read just for mindless enjoyment.

Forgive me if I thought wrongly of your novels. I only read the synopsis.

Just finished chapter three of Zaldizko; I'll probably read a few at a time since the chapters are quite long, whew~!
I do suggest considering splicing the chapters (maybe in half) since-cough-you'll get more views, but more importantly, the flow of reading might be better in terms of processing the events. It'll also allow commenters to be more precise in their comments. Er, I guess this sounds weird. But for me anyway, when a chapter makes me want to comment on a lot of points, that usually indicates to me that the chapter had too much content, and I don't feel like taking all the time to comment, or only comment part of what I wanted. That might be a personal thing though. XD

On this note, it's interesting how the format/platform of the story changes how one reads it. With physical books, I can just read on and on without any concerns for length, but for mobile, I get bothered easily. On a larger screen like a laptop, length is a little less of an issue, but even then, the scrolling action tires the eyes after a while.
I guess this isn't unexpected though. While scrolling seems easier, the movement of the words after a while is jarring to the eyes. I could never read as much in one sitting on any kind of computer screen as I could with physical paper..

As for views, collections or whatever else, it seems to be more a cyclical thing on Webnovel. XD The time it takes to build up a large enough audience to rank on the powerstones and thereby possibly increase reader passerby volume, is very long. I can only imagine featuring and contracting would boost stats otherwise. It's a shame the support for originals isn't very high on here. But I suppose everywhere this is a problem. Maybe one day someone will figure out a better algorithm and structure.

(Wah it looks like I wrote an short essay x_x)

Wildbird I think you're right there. I thought to give this site a shot. Got to try all options. :smile_cat:

Chryiss I appreciate the feedback. Ironically, I have this broken up as 90 chapters in Wattpad with no chapter running longer than 2K words. I was concerned that on this platform, the shorty chapters wouldn't work as well. Lol!

You're right. If I have the time I'll try to split them up like I did on Wattpad.

Thanks everyone for your comments. :hearts:

You've helped me realise that my style of stories are probably best suited for Wattpad and Royal Road. I'll likely continue to post any new stuff to those sites and out to Amazon. Cheers.

I'm content to continue reading all the awesome stories you guys create here. My library is filled with originals. I rarely have any of the paid stuff - XD

Sigh. I wish I could gift away my spirit stones as I don't really need them. Alas, they came for free, so I guess I'll just need to watch them fade out.

                  Cheers.

PLEASE READ MY BOOK AND GIVE ME YOUR COMMENT ABOUT IT, THE BOOK IS (he is only after this body)
