Blurb: "I'll find a way to save my brother. Do whatever the hell you want. I'm stealing your guns."
Famine is a man determined to save his three brothers after they were tragically separated when a magical fire destroyed their monastery home. He finds himself in a foreign city called Apocalypse. There he falls in with the Evadale Knight Order security group, which guards the Hell's Labyrinth prison facility. The prison's system goes haywire upon his arrival.
Amongst prison chaos, Famine learns that his missing brothers are somewhere within the area. He'd do anything to save and reunite his family, even if it meant fighting malignant redback spiders and a mind-sucking demon. The fights he faces may be more than he can handle.
This is volume one of the Seriphyn Knight Chronicles.
It begins.
Note: there are some romance elements (pushing it in the BL cat). The plot is hopefully straight forward being Famine doing what he can to find and rescue his brothers. Skip if it isn't your thing.

A slow burner romance drama/slice of life told from two angles. If you like stories like In This Corner of the World or The Silent Voice, this one may appeal. It's a story about the final year of WW2 told on Japanese soil from the eyes of same-sex lovers, Hinata and Eiji.
Hinata was waiting for his lover to return from war and receives the news of his death. This perspective tells of his village life in the countryside and the slow reveal of discrimination and hardships of Japan's civilians.
Eiji is a soldier fighting the war from his home front. Iwo Jima was meant to be his last tour, but he fell injured in a banzai charge and was classified as dead. He recovered with the aid of an American lieutenant who escorts him back into the mainland for espionage work. Eiji is doing what he can to return to Hinata.
[Note:] there is romance but this isn't the focus of the book. The book is about showing the wartimes through these men's eyes.
Skip if it isn't your thing.
I have more, but they are a fresh and with a small amount of chapters. So, I'm building these up until I promote them out.
I removed To Like A Man. I just saw your "no romance" mandate. Sorry about that.
Thanks again. I hope these pique interest and end up an okay read.
Cheers.
