sigh another week of disappointment. Not only have free novel options gone missing (though they're on the manhua section), but every week I look forward to seeing what's on the TGIF, only to realise there's nothing to it. I'm a girl, but I hate these cheesy modern romance novels. Not only that, but the list is taken up with original novels. I miss the time when it was covered by xianxia, xianhuan, or wuxia novels. That's literally why I got into webnovels in the first place... Not 'CEO this' or 'CEO that'.
(Just wondering, but don't people realize that CEOs are usually older men in real life who have dull lives?)

For TGIF 70, please bring back the aforementioned genres, even if you have to pull it from the domestic side and start translations for them. There's so many gems over there that haven't reached QI Webnovel (English version).

            leonodus Doesn't seem to be giving the Romance category a good name. I agree that the range is not leveraging off the entire catalog. It needs to have a selection across all categories. Five best of each. And a 50/50 split of Original and Translated novels.

              We need mass release for the male. Enough with all these love story. Of recent most all mass release are love novel, what abt those who don't care abt love?

              Veronica8 Now now, this is a bit too judgemental. I think you should read some first. Don't base them on their titles alone (though I do understand that the title is important) 🤔 I'm not fond of the CEO type romance novel myself. But novels like

              • The Ceo's woman - This novel emphasis more on the FL Jiang Yue. To sum it up, strong independent FL. It's a reincarnation novel too with a lot of plot twists.

              • and The Ceo's painted skin are actually quite good ( This one doesn't really emphasis CEO much, when I last read it - I was reading more about the hardships of a young Filipino girl, struggling to make a living and help her family - )

              So yeah, I'd give it a go before making these comments ( I do understand that this site is overloaded with CEO novels, but there are some unique ones out there if you look) I think most titles are romances on TGIF because ML original writers don't sign up for TGIF and just give out random bonuses. Maybe it's the same for translated ML novels.

                  We want mass release of non romance novels. At least make the number of romance and non romance equal.
                  Good that the discounts are coming back, but please hive us the limited time free reading back. We readers need something to do while you do events for the writers.

                  Also, @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL a well meant warning. I get how important original works and writers are to a publishing company. But please add some quality check for the novels. Lately is getting harder and harder to filter good original novels. There are many too poorly made. Grammar mistakes that make it impossible to read, novels that are almost plagiarism from how similar to others they sound, novels that looks like a p*rn script done by a 13yo, novels with 2-3 chaps thet were abandoned and many more. And honestly this lowers the publisher credibility.
                  That happened to wattpad and i fear will happen here too (even more since some of those are novels from there that authors are bringing here).
                  Please, please don’t let this go on.

                    I hate how every time a female comments she has to say I'm a female but...(not all females read romance) I am a female and yes I wanted romance novels when webnovel just started but not cliche' overly used story lines with no logical flow, and I dislike people being overly dramatic at how much they oppose such a genre for example saying it makes them puke. i agree Xianxia and wuxia got me into light novels and I wish we could get more chapters released for these genres. Maybe it's harder to translate the latter in comparison to 'CEO' novels, but it should be quality over quantity in regards to the influx of novels, most of which aren't worth ss. There should be more fairness for each genre unless each friday is dedicated to one genre but the former idea is much better in this regard. Also instead of continuously bringing in new novels please try and get translators for the novels that have been left to gather dust. Its not fair on the readers who were honestly following the story. I've derailed and can't remember what was my main point o(≧o≦)o I think I was mad reading the comments and how females had to defend their choice of novels
