Eslyna Aah I get it. I think your insight is spot on about the genres.

    Veronica8 Thanks! I considered the idea once, but I just have a feeling this isn't the platform for MWTL to break out in any small way. But more than that, if it does get some traction, I'll have to change my weird way of updating to avoid the scrappers (because it's so messy and confusing lol), but I don't want it to get pirated, so that update method's not going to change. (As it is, I haven't gotten any comments or anything on that novel since deciding to keep it up to date, just a few silent collections.)

    I'm going to try out the Mass Release program this week and see if it does any wonders. I'm testing with 5 chapter release once the TGIF is confirmed. Otherwise, they get daily release schedule.

      Chryiss is new thing decided yesterday. I think it's to widen the range.

        Veronica8 TMS = 430:1
        Reborn = 727:1
        Zaldizko = 358:1
        4th Zaldizko = 1.31K:1
        Dragonieth = 243:1

        Zaldizko = 361:1
        4th Zaldizko = 1.58K

        Don't think I'll do the TGIF program again. Was time consuming. It's great for contracted because they already have the audience, so can reap a reward of being read. For a no name, you're really doing the mass release for yourself, so no different to Nanowrimo.

        The dashboard is so detailed in telling me I'm the only one reading my books cause of proof reading :sob: My reading statistics wireframe has flatlined!

        I think scrappers are still trying to steal, since a lot of my readers that have made a book visit are unknown. So, far no new updates have shown on fake Wuxiaworld and others for The Fourth.

          Veronica8 TMS = 430:1
          Reborn = 727:1

          4th Zaldizko = 1.31K:1
          Dragonieth = 243:1

          Been a while, and still see this as relevant.

          TMS = 435:1
          Reborn = 754:1
          Zaldizko = 371:1
          4th Zaldizko = 1.78K:1
          Dragonieth = 260:1

          Stable, give or take a few gains and drops. This is the amount of interest to my stories since the last update almost a month ago. The fact that non contracted stories are no longer featured (except via the daily update algorithm that's weird to begin with), makes these stats reassuring. Combining this stat with the dashboard wireframes, I can see if those intentions to read become actual. To date, only Zaldizko has active readership. I guess this could be due to my commitment, since my updates are erratic but I do intend to finish these books. Especially the Fourth and Reborn since they're part of a 10 book series.

            Veronica8 Interesting dynamics. I have growth, only after sharing the review ... and then silence again. But at the same time, the number of collections increased from 32 to 90. At the same time, they do not comment, but 5-10 people read it.

            I plan to finish 3 of 5 stories this year by writing 30–40 final chapters.

            Thank you for sharing interesting information!

              Gourmet_DAO That's pretty good growth. Nice.

              I noticed, writing male lead stories, they tend to attract the silent readers. That's not a bad thing. It's good we can now see something of active reading in the dashboards.

                While we're talking reader interest. Don't know how it will go for my upcoming books I aim to self publish now that I've decided the full version via paid channels only.

                Example: I'm going to stop posting the Fourth at the end of Volume 5 here, but finish the book offline for ebook/paperback release.

                I guess a non profit reason for this decision is piracy countering and taking advantage of them at the same time. 😁

                a year later

                Hi everyone I just took part in WPC12 and I think I am worse of all 5.9 k views and 12 collections...Can something come down this???
                I just want to cry out loud...aaaaaaaa...
                I think I am worse writer of all...

                  Scarletheart84 I wouldn't take results of a WPC to heart. As its much more of a networking contest than a writing one.

                  My first WPC entry didn't even put me in a rank. I remember only getting 1-2k views and the only votes then were my own that I stopped early cause I got lazy. A year later my entry was contracted. Although I wouldn't call it a success rate here. And it's likely to be eventually banned being a BL.

                  Keep writing. There are 12 readers who showed interest in your story and want to give it a go. They are worth as much as 1000 readers at this stage of the story.

                  Then there's the story itself. If you're passionate for it, give it an ending regardless. You could always take it to a place that will love it.

                  And you can only improve from here.

                    Scarletheart84

                    Hi there!

                    Your other stories are actually quite popular and good. Why not post an update notice for your old readers that you are on a new story and they can support you?

                    Cheers!
