I don't recall a public notice of this change so I assume it was a dirty secret you hoped would go unnoticed or unreported. This free feature compensates for the many SS's wasted on filler or poorly written chapters amateur writers often produce. With the large numbers of readers why not use advertising as an alternative revenue source. Like the idea of spending SS's to bypass advertising or spending 30s to watch an ad to unlock a chapter.
I know sourcing advertisements is actual effort, but you expect readers to increase their efforts to earn income to purchase SS's. I think this website should rethink the Daily Check-in change.

        I dropped a few too. Now only reading LoHP .And im not looking for new reads. Last i picked up was 'way of choices' which is amazing. But thinking it will cost me 300eur for 1k chapters (15ss per chap), just to read it in 2months? No ty.

        A week of vacation in turkey costs just around 300eur. I'd rather go on a vacation every 2 months, than read novels that focus on quantity over quality.

        Competition has plenty of stuff to read.. and they usually dont charge anything at all .

          Moustache Not only do they not charge but google what you read and might find it free elsewhere. I’m doing that with a few of mine I read, as I just can’t read here for long. I keep getting 5-8 ss per check in so roughly get enough for a chapter a day now, I refuse to also pay for such a terrible unprofessional company that fails to keep translators.

            I don't understand how it rally works. Whenever I check in, post a comment, etc I shoulf get SS and energy stones. When I get 20 or 25 Ss Ishould be able to read 3 chapters. In the beginning it eorked well but now Ican onlyread1 chapter a day. Sometimes 2. What happened to the energy stones? It seems I nevergetany

              Tbh, I just read my absolute fav. novels here and go to other sites to read other stories for free, plus what they give are high quality translations of actually good novels compared to the numerous amateurs here with sub par quality. There's also that unreasonable prices per chapter.
