All I'm asking is the ability to hide the comments. When I'm power reading a story they ruin the flow, especially since its all either complaining about the story or xp comments

May1st I think OP is asking if he could hide it for himself when hes reading not deleting the comments as a whole. Like a OP prob wants a wall of texts with no interruptions of rate, power stone, comment page.

      non_refert I don't know what else to say anymore😐.

Based on my understanding of the post, I believe he/she doesn't want to see comments under a chapter, if it's not the case, then I wish him/her good luck with the complaint.

        Use airplane mode.
It has limited success, usually cuz it still shows the comments on the chapter you're reading before going airplane mode, but after a few chapters you won't see them anymore (until you reconnect to the internet).

You have to download the chapters beforehand, which may take a while depending on the number of chapters (free/unlocked)

May1st If you don't like it, you shouldn't view it.
As someone who's had his fare share of Haters in the Comments section I agree with this reply wholeheartedly.
If you're reading my comment at the end of the chapter that means it was upvoted more then any other comment by readers who agreed/were amused by it.
And to complain that they "Ruin the flow" is ridiculous: They're at the end of the Chapter! When you get to the end of the Authors writing just go right to the next page and continue on with your reading enjoyment.
Treat them the same as you would a spoiler warning in an article: Discontinue scrolling. Simple, eh?

ThrustThunder original post says power reading. I'm assuming reading tens, perhaps dozens of chapters at a time.

In that case, i can understand why one wouldn't want to be distracted by comments

I just don't want to see them myself. Used to be able to hide them or choose to read them but then they added the top comments at the bottom. I frequently read 10s of chapters at a time... (No notifications so I didn't know I got replies)

Sadly most of the top comments end up being the people who don't like the story or didn't pay attention.
