Miya if that happens and they stop releasing alteast 1 free chapter a week for novels there are always alternatives not gonna affect me. I personally might buy a few SS per month if i really like the plot of the story or some shit but if they go full retard then i just wont give them money not my loss
One thing I'm wondering,
If I unlock 1 premium chapter with spirit stones, let's say chapter 105 (with the current free chapters being at 104), then next day will the free chapter unlocked for me be 106, or will that premium chapter 105 that I unlocked become the free chapter released to everyone.
The amount of SS you need to unlock a chapter varies from the chapter itself...

Well, I'll just read as many stories as I can, until the my stock of Spirit Stones is expended.
As I see it, Qidian will definitely, eventually adwall those novels not currently on the top rankings, and perhaps even extend the adwall to chapters translated within 2 weeks.... (YIKES !! Negative thinking101)

Afterwards, depending on how much I like the stories, I would:
- Read it through MTL (hopefully it won't damage my meager understanding of the English language too much
- Take advantage of other fan translation sites (if I can find them)
or - Swallow my rage and just drop the story. Wait for the manga/manhwa adaptation. Vent my hatred in YouTube. Watch local Telenovelas, cartoons, etc. Attempt to rebuild my social life. Anything at all. But I won't purchase SS even when held at gunpoint.

N0xiety As always...... He got triggered and tried to cause a huge disaster by tagging everybody he knew, and posted some links of external sites(of novels), which was noticed by qidian and he was sealed down in his cave.
P.S. On a different account, This is a huge disaster, with the way qidian implemented this sudden monetization, it came out of nowhere and there were also no prior announcement of it(As much as I know). The badges were bad, but this is much worse, They should just ask us to pay for a novel at once, instead of using this cheap Spirit stone trick. I would gladly purchase the books on Amazon(My purchase will be justified that way).
But I am never going to buy fake currencies for my vice.
Bethesda ruined my Skyrim experience the same way using their Creation Club, I can hardly give out money for all the games I play, but the free mods.. I won't pay for them.
