Introducing Fast Pass!
I understand youur point. But the thing is, i HATE the update. As a reader, i would love for my chapters to be unlocked permanently. I work in a fast paced marketing company and I know that ads alone can upfloat the company. Not that I care about that but my point is things are too expensive and of this goes on, then i might not open the app anymore.
No more coins now? It said you get coins in app, but just 3 fast pass, and I have the 60%, so 3 chapters costing 3 or 4 coins a day, good job!! Love the update , absolutely fantastic!!
yaoyueyi true! In fact they don't even respond to anyone even when we ask @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL for a response. Though on rare occasions you do see them work on your suggestion and you can see some change in the update at later time

Tomoyuki You know, i just noticed a huge problem that the fast pass may bring. It is possible that this fast pass is gonna push original authors into writing shorter and shorter chapters. Why release a 15ss long chapter and be punished for it right? Because even the people who normally pay for ss, will probably use these fast passes on the longest chapters they can find first. No one is stupid, and if they are given an easy resource, they will use it whether they have money to waste or not. So what will this incentivize authors to do? Even good novels will be forced to shorten their chapter length so that they won't be the sacrificial sheep that people dump their fast passes into. They will just make shorter and shorter chapters that cost like 4 - 5ss to not be the first novels that people dump their fast passes into. This is my prediction. Gotta get with the times...

N0xiety Writers don't get anything from fast pass or free/bonus spirit stones. They only get paid if people use spirit stones that they purchase with actual cash or Paypal to unlock their chapters. Fast passes and free/bonus spirit stones (the ones you get from daily missions and check-ins) don't give writers/translators any money at all.
In essence, fast pass doesn't change anything for writers. If people were using free/bonus spirit stones to unlock their chapters before, they still weren't getting any money back then.

Tomoyuki I don't think you have truly comprehended my comment. What you are saying is the base of the problem.
The problem is, bonus ss wasn't a strategic resource, while fast pass is. You can use the fast pass on a short chapter, or you can use it on a long chapter, and the result will be the same. The cost, will be the same. The people who buy ss and spend real ss aren't stupid or lazy. There is no reason for them to not use their 3 fast passes each day when they can get them so easily. And what will they use it on? Which novels will they specifically use it on logically? They will obviously use their fast passes on the novels that have the longest and most ss costly chapters. So the popular original novels with long chapters will be where these people use their fast passes. Even if they were gonna pay for the chapters before, now they will specifically use their fast passes on those novels. Whereas before, the bonus ss usage of 'paying' people stayed completely random and diluted into many novels, the nature of fast pass as a strategic resource will concentrate the usage into specific novels. So popular novels with the longest chapters will become sacrificial sheeps in this system. What will this push authors to do then? It doesn't take much to guess right?

Tomoyuki I think he means people who were spending actual ss on long chapters will just unlock those with fast pass, so authors and translators who were getting money will no longer get it cause people will spend fast pass on it.
So they will starting writing smaller chapters to not be victims of it.

N0xiety Contracted author can only make their chapters premium if the word count is 1k words now. If it is less than that, they cannot lock the chapters
According to CKTalon, a fast pass is equal to the chapter length which means, it can be 4ss or more. Don't quote me on this, just saw him replying to some thread

Lin_XiaoLong I know that there are many original novels with very short chapters that cost 4 - 5ss even now. So if this is a new rule, idk, tho i wouldn't hold my breath.
I don’t care about fast pass the thing i was excited a bout was the transition Function but I can’t find it 
N0xiety It's new, recently implemented. So old chapters can't be changed but new one, they need to be at least 1k words
Right after they add this there comics haven't been loading or they load half a page not its not being fixed this has been going on for days and for something no-one asked for/needed "fast passes" the coins worked just find and those comics loaded !!! Now they don't
