Hi! Im just new here and having a hard time creating a new one. Btw i already have 1 existing, ongoing novel. I just wanna try to create a new one. Hope anyone can help me. Thank you!

akonogfx What do you need help with? You need to say that here so people know what they should help you with.

Same here!I've had this pretty little mistake by getting a lot of my single chapter published like a number of times but I guess that i have finally made it right all the while. Matter of fact that my book has eventually made it get read (UP) for around (3) three million times and ranked first with my first Release Rating by last December and I am full of hope to be one of the awardee perhaps with Spirity Award all the way from the Philippines which is ongoing right.Yet, I am pleased to ask if there could possibly be a chance if so and could I win a contract on the first place.I think it is just proper to ask if ever that my book has got famous enough indeed when I have seen that my book length just also did.Am I right to guess if I could probably secure and get a slut over the board among Philippine authors to win Spirity Award from Philippines with around (3) three million Release rating? How could I get payed please? This is not actually something about technical but the award and the contract instead.Thank you! My book is named: Angel's Heart-( Code :Demon's Heart).

Write a text block in paragraphs. When the text goes in one block it is difficult to understand what is at stake. These are apparently specific questions.

      They should be highlighted.

      For instance:

      1.

      2.

      3.

Ordinary readers and authors do not know the answers to some questions. This requires specific knowledge of Webnovel and greater involvement in the competition mode. Therefore, it would be easier for you to create your own topic and ask specifically questions on points there.

And so I do not understand what is written here.

And in another author. please do not advertise your novel for this there is a special topic:

It's hard to understand but I'm assuming that you're asking if you could get a contract from webnovel? You've also mentioned that you're expecting to have an award in the Philippines because your novel is really popular and have reached 3 million views?

I'm not really knowledgeable since I'm new as well but I believe that you could message the webnovel and propose a contract for your new novel.

I'm not sure about the contract but I've heard that the contract is not worth it. You'll have to give up your rights to the book and webnovel is free to make changes. If you have a lot of viewers, I suggest you officially publish your novel and sell on amazon or something.

(Btw. What site did you post to? Filipina gurl here wanna read some filipino books)

unalived There seems to be a lot of misconceptions with the contract.

          1) You can apply to be contracted, but for as far as I'm concerned, you can't make a proposal for the contract in terms of negotiating anything on it (except word length perhaps).

          2) On the contract, it states Webnovel is free to make changes HOWEVER there has not been a single case of the 100+ contracted novels that WN asked for plots to be altered EXCEPT when they violate terms like illegal p*rn categories, and so forth. I'll be honest when I say, traditionally publishing also takes away the copyrights of a person's novel, but many people seem to skimp on that fact. Though, selling on amazon might be ideal since you might retain your copyright, it is a VERY VERY competitive market that heavily emphasizes on grammar and content. Depending on how you view the market, people there expect the traditional writing style instead of the simple one offered :)

A point of clarification: trade publishers in the West do not take away an author's copyright. They instead pay—via advances and royalties—for the exclusive use of your copyright. Unless they contract you for a work-for-hire, in which case they pay an upfront sum (calculated by how much they believe the book would make over its life span) and own the copyright.

In the US, at least, the copyright returns to the author after thirty-five years regardless of whether or not an end date is noted in the contract.

From what I have seen of the contract offered here, you will lose the ownership of your copyright. As well as be tied up with the rights of first refusal.

I would caution that, while WN hasn’t enforced some of the items in their contracts, as mentioned above, that doesn’t mean they won’t in the future. When signing a contract, it is best not to assume the other party will not excercise the rights granted via the contract. There have been many authors in trade publishing who took such gambles—some were fine, but in other cases, they were caught flat-footed when the publisher went ahead and exercised those rights.

Hi there! I think it is all enough for me for a first timer how I could take my first step since the said 3,000,000 Million number reads(UP) of my novel to sign a contact. Perhaps, I could secure a slut over the Philippine authors to win the Spirity award which I was all up to on the first place. Could this really be a good point to take a slut for the award or what else will I need for?

RoilanBibano I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say? I think Spirity is not an actual award, but a boost of income?

Hi there again ! May I ask about the contract.Should I take it from you or where else? By the way thank you for your words. I think it will be nice coming from you, right or when?

                  RoilanBibano

You should contact webnovel directly if you wish to discuss getting contracted. Please keep in mind they have their own requirements before extending such to writers so you may want to do some proper research first on said requirements and how to go about submitting your petition officially.

And no, a random babelfish translated forum post is not the correct method.

Yes, I actually did and I have passed my petition already. According with the guideline that I must have at least 20k premium words + and Release rate which I have eventually garnernered with around 3,000,000 Million Reads (UP).I have already completed my book ," Angel's Heart-(Code: DEMON'S HEART) " with above 20k premium words and around 3Million Reads(UP). I have even been ranking 1st since December from the Philippines. Yet, I still wonder when will probably the company get back with me or is it true that it usually gets 2- week before my petition for a contract be responded?
