If your novel hypothetically gets adapted to Anime/Tv shows.
How many episodes will you need to cover your entire novel?

Would you rather make an anime 12/24 episode season-wise, like My hero academia?

OR

Just do like the mainstream with an episode marathon, just like Naruto, One piece, Black clover, etc?

OR

Make a movie and maybe make a series, like Marvel Avengers?

It's not wrong to dream, hope everyone novel get the recognization that they deserve :)

It will probably never happen but if it does, I'd want it to be seasonal like MHA but with three cours (36-39 episodes).
From what I have planned of the story, I think it would need 4 seasons of three cours to complete the entire adaptation.
My story will have 7 arcs so it should probably go like this:-
    Arc 1 + Arc 2 + Arc 3 = Season 1
    Arc 4 = Season 2
    Arc 5 + Arc 6 = Season 3
    Arc 7 = Season 4

A long-running adaptation like Naruto wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea but I think there will be points in the story where it will be better to give the audience a break.

Movie adaptations will probably make it too much of a mess. They won't work.

Many writers dream right? Lol. I think many authors as myself have had the idea.
If I were to write my entire book which has over 12 volumes planned it would probably be best for me to keep it to the Naruto long-running adaptation as there are parts in the book where the action slows down for character development and just chapters of the characters hanging out and becoming friends. Although a season with episode could work too. Movies? Unless I want like 15 movies no lol

AriaKang There is a big difference between thinking about something stupid and something possible. Getting translation is within the current means of WN, anime/movie is not.

Normal people, when they are struck with the idea of what they would do if they were to win a million dollars, will spare it a single thought before ditching it away as its useless for them to ponder about it. People who failed to achieve anything would on the other hand use this idea as the basis for their wet dreams where they are successful, beyond what others managed to achieve.

Dreaming about getting your own anime on the current webnovel level is akin to the second scenario, and quite frankly, I'm not surprised your brought that type of idea as your own point, while disregarding more mature approach of bothering oneself with what is within one's reach. After all, idiots always will attack others, because those who are smarter than them feels like a threat to their existence.

As a shameless weeb, it's my biggest dream to have a novel of mine get an anime adaptation. Although it's pretty much impossible for me (considering I'm a western writer with no formal education on writing a book), I've fantasized about one of my stories getting an anime more than once. I think I can envision my current story getting one, maybe two, fairly short seasons (20 episodes or less each). I'm personally not a fan of anime with a ton of episodes and prefer seasons that are short and sweet. Same with television shows and book series.

Excellent question! Definitely got me thinking.

I think you’re better off hiring JP animators. It’s 40k for a single ova in Japan but hey the product is professional. There’s was a KR author that saved up for years I think
