Charles Dickens :) That's really cool! I also agree, it's really awesome to be able to share our story in a website like this.
Btw, what is your novel name or link? Keep on writing, and good luck!

My current work is "The Records of a Testy Cynic". It's currently only in it's initially phases.
It isn't the kind of novel that I was frustrated into writing. It's just something I came up while thinking about what to write for the WPF event.
Currently just a weird serial one shot-esque novel.
itsmeTuba Interesting title :) I checked it already. Three chapters! Hope you can continue it! Keep the spirit!
Wulin_Jianghu Thanks! I do plan on continuing it for like up to 20 chapters or so, still it feels nice to be encouraged so thanks a lot!
It will be called “The DarK Master” but it’s not started yet. I’m being a perfectionist and not releasing chapter 1 just yet. I have some other books out right now if that’s what you are looking for.
I'll say that the one that makes me write on WN is one of the original authors in here. The name is lynerparrel, the author of Adopted Soldier.
The one that inspired me to write was WN (or in the sense, a bug in WN)
My role model author is Gu Zhen Ren (The author of Reverend Insanity). This book is epic and I strive to one day write such a masterpiece.
I am the author of Psychic Parasite. I must say, I pretty much simp this novel, haha.
It's been my passion, even before I was smart enough to realize it (kindergarten stage or somewhere around that). If someone/something inspired the kid me back then, I don't remember who/what it was.
They are many, but I aspire to write horror like Stephen King, psychosis like Tappei Nagatsuki and do the overall setup and mystery building like Hajime Isayama. As a result, certain things about my writing style has become somewhat similar to them.
I currently am, and will be for the next 4 years at least, writing A Psychic's Scarlet Dream. Unless this one is over, I doubt I will try writing anything else. (I once did try actually, some months ago, but I couldn't really balance my time so now that's on hiatus and I probably won't try it again)
It is frustrating to say.....but that *****, Mad Snail did inspire me.
But I hate him for not completing TDG....and so I started writing to surpass him. ....but I don't see it happening in near future....
My current book is The Ancient Genes.....it has gone a lot of ups and downs with me... If u give the whole a book a read....u can see my entire journey as an author and this what I get from the comments of my reader and it is not a joke....
I don't know what started it. Maybe my 7 years of reading experience or my colourful imagination or Maybe both, I'm not sure. But this Quarantine did give me the opportunity to work on it. And I found out I love writing so much.
Favorite author, hmm that's an easy one. I would say its Shadowdrake27. He was the one who taught me how to make my writing better. Km not kidding. I feel like our readers teach us more than any person could.
My current works are Death Goddess Reborn, This Crayfish Is Not Edible and Sky Descent. I've still got a lot of room for improvement though. Still working on bringing more feelings to my characters.
Wulin_Jianghu What inspired you to write?
Who is your role model author?
I'll answer on the first two.
Inspiration was from all the stories that saved me from being six feet under. Books can be havens, but only if I can experience them.
All authors and writers who are able to open my mind to another view point.
There a murderous writing hamster in my brain. Kinda like Ratatouille, but for writing trash stories instead of making 5star fancy foods. I can't help it, sometimes the hamster just takes over. Or else it runs stir crazy.
Role model? My favorite fafic writers? I think there's a lot of amazing content out there that may be even better than traditional media but doesn't get the attention.
I enjoyed authors like Roald Dahl, while known for creative and great meaningful children's books that don't dumb or reduce things down just bc it's meant for children (Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) his adult content is quite gruesome and reflective of deeper humanity( The Lottery).
On the flipside, Edgar Allen Poe started out writing comedy but found his 'grim' content to be more popular.
Jane Austen OG Queen, forever stan.
Currently, I'm inot contemporary Japanese authors like Ruth Ozeki. But I've always been into poetic meaningful, maybe even too 'mundane' authors that focus on magical realism, slice of life, a realistic tragedy like Murakami, Franz Kafta, and Khaled Hosseini.
There's also always anime, games, and manga- where a lot of good storytelling goes under-appreciated under the guise of pop and otaku culture. Unlike my 'novel' reading choices, I like my manga to be more adventurous/fantasy.
My current novels are 1. an Otome Villainess girl parody/SLice of Life introspection/Historical Fiction. 2. Lord of the Flies inspired survival piece digging into the dark side of humanity.
Great topic OP.
Many of the authors here are inspired by other authors in this Webnovel. Isn't that a good sign?
Wulin_Jianghu.
I don't have a role model but I do have a person who inspired me to write a teacher and I don't mean teacher in symbolic sense I actually mean a teacher during primary school I wasn't in much this caused me to fall behind and made me focus on the things I'm good and that wasn't English i always got failing marks in English and I gave up on the subject but one day we had to write a chapter of a book that we were reading when I finished writing I remember a teacher who read and said it was "really good" I suck at English but a teacher still thought that my writing was good after that everytime I had a chance to write I enjoyed it
A book I'm writing is
What is it like to be a Knight
heyitsbluejay That's awesome. I wonder if you ever showed your novel to your teacher?
When I was a kid, I dreamt of publishing story books until adulthood hit me hard. But now I'm back at being that kid again, so much hate for this world, I'll create my own!
What inspired me to write: A manga and anime called Naruto
Who is my favorite author: Tolkien, I guess, but I'll never surpass him
What's my current work: A fantasy series called "Mages of the North", a rare mixture of magic and the 17th-18th century.
Dalton_Reutlinger
yayyyyy Tolkien! That's awesome. Keep on writing!
SilentMild Not a bad idea, you can always create your own world in your writing! All the best for you!
